They are excellent. I added a Hot Hands hand warmer to each mitten and they kept my fingers toasty. [ I finally broke down to buy proper winter mittens and chose these as I love my Hestra ski gloves. They are soft and warm, keeping my fingers relatively comfortable in 5 degree Wisconsin weather. They are a bit bulky, but I can still shove them in the pockets of my heavy winter jacket. They work well for sledding, walking around, etc. I would prefer a slightly longer, larger wrist so they can go up over the jacket to keep snow from getting in. But otherwise I am very pleased. They are certainly better than anything I have owned thus far( save for my Hestra ski gloves) for serious winter outdoor time.

These mittens are very lightweight, but kept the wind out very well. There were even a few times along the trail were I had to take them off for a few seconds because my hands we too hot! They also seem to be sufficiently waterproof as I had no issues with water getting in or soggy mittens. The leather palms are also decently grippy which was a pleasant surprise. My only minor complaints are less than ideal dexterity( though that is to be expected with mittens) and there is n't a clip included to keep the mittens together when not in use. Overall these are wonderfully warm mittens and well worth the price!

My hands always go numb from the cold below 15 degrees. I ’ ve tried top tier mittens and wool liners to no avail. With these mittens I skied all day at 10 degrees and two breaks and kept my hands warm. I used medium and low settings most of the time and still had half the battery left at the end of the day. I can ’ t wait to go again this week and see how they do in near zero temperatures. Definitely worth the price.
