We just returned from a trip that required the use of this bag. It was used on top of a Toyota RAV4 with a rack on the roof. The bag is quite durable, easy to put up and take down and best of all, I can attest to it being quite water resistant. We took our Oru Kayaks out of the box on the shore of String Lake, Grand Teton NP, with directions in hand and gathering onlookers anticipating the final form of our clever unfolding. The first attempt was frustrating. I might have said a swear word or two. However, the second kayak emerged more easily and lacked the initial assembly drama. Those interested in our maiden voyage were delighted to see how light the boats were and how easily we launched them. After sliding into the water, my first stroke shot the boat forward and I knew I was in for a great day of paddling. My wife and I simultaneously commented about how easily the boats paddled and how responsive they were. As a side note, thank you very much for supplying a decent paddle in your package. It paddled as well as my trusty Werner paddle and broke down better. The first test came at the north end of String Lake where we had to portage the boats a quarter mile to Leigh Lake. At 26 pounds apiece, we easily carried both Oru boats together. On a previous trip to this same destination, we carried 65 pound plastic kayaks individually over the portage, which means we walked a mile with more weight, instead of a quarter mile with lighter Oru boats. Paddling Leigh Lake was a dream. Even in light chop from an afternoon gust, the Oru Kayaks paddled great! Our heavier, plastic ocean kayaks totally out perform the Oru kayaks on our home waters of Monterey Bay, but they don ’ t come close to the convenience, compact storage, and light weight we need for packing in our trailer and heading out to lakes in the northwest. The best part: I didn ’ t buy have to buy a kayak rack for the cab of my truck, which my wife isn ’ t tall enough to reach anyway, for two folding kayaks that fit snugly in the truck bed. There is a genius little pocket in the stroller basket to store the front wheel of the stroller when in bike trailer mode. The hitch is very sturdy, well made, and safe. Its design protects the trailer from front/side impacts. The attachment to the bike itself is secure with an additional fail- safe mechanism. Safety and quality are absolutely top notch. My husband was the test driver and he raved about how lightweight and streamlined the City Prixe is. It is so much less bulky than our old single- purpose bike trailer. If you are a runner, and you have the Chariot, this is for you. There have been comments about it being static but if you have ever run with a swivel wheel up front on a relatively heavy stroller, you will know that having a static wheel up front is the only way to go as it's WAY more stable and keeps rolling straight. The wheel features an adjustment for which you can use to alter the alignment. I have seen other wheel not have this feature and over time, you can get a wheel that you will have to adjust constantly to keep rolling straight. The wheel is big enough to get over anything I run over. I do single track trails, road and loose gravel and the wheel handles the obstacles well. If I go into the thick with it, I reduce the PSI in the front so that it's a little easier on the kiddo and when on the road, I keep the PSI high for better rolling resistance. Overall- very happy with the wheel. Only negative remark( which is n't about the product itself) is that it would have been nice to have been included with an otherwise expensive stroller.

I saw somebody gave this a one star review and was curious why. I had to add a review, as I disagree entirely with the one star review. I love that the jogging kit doesn ’ t have a swiveling front wheel. I find it so much nicer when running with the stroller. It ’s more stable, more efficient, and it tracks straight even when running on gravel and dirt. Not to mention much harder to tip over. After running with a BOB stroller for kid 1, and the Thule for 1 and 2, I think the Thule is much better for jogging. The swiveling front wheel is much more manageable for walking and everyday daily use, but it ’s so easy to switch between stroller wheels, jogging wheel, and bike trailer, why not use what works best for what you ’ re doing? It ’s expensive, yes. But after using the stroller, and all it ’s attachments, for 2 years now, I don ’ t want to use anything else.

I bought the jogging kit to use with my Chariot Thule Lite and while I find it awesome to run with on roads and fire trails, I ca n't figure out how to store the wheel and its arms with the little black strap that is provided with the kit. On the regular Chariot there's a boxy- bin on the back of the unit with 4 little attachment points but that is n't there on the Lite. Any suggestions?

Pulling a full double chariot does take more effort than skiing solo, but we have found it incredibly useful for our family. ... The waist belt is comfortable, I was able to pull child# 1 while pregnant with child# 2, until well into the 3rd

I 've had a chance to take this out for three skis with an infant in the Chariot. Felt great to get out on the trails and have the little one sleeping behind me. Pros: The stability of the Chariot is great, and having them up off the ground helps to keep them warmer that a ground- based pulk. Installation is super simple and you can even wax the skis to maximize glide. Also nice to be able to store a few extra things for you or the child in the pulk's ample cargo spaces. Cons: There's no dampening system between the pulk and the skier, so any bumps/accelerations/decelerations experience by the pulk are translated to the skiers hips. This take a little bit of getting used to, but after a bit, is fine. Despite Thule trying to make the system as light- weight as possible, it's still heavy and will only get more- so as the child grows; this makes the uphills a slog( but downhills are awesome!).
