I got this ball a few weeks ago with the hopes it would help my 6 year old be less afraid of the ball as she works on learning to play catch. She absolutely loves this ball. We play catch( even inside now that it ’s super cold and snowy) with no worries about getting hurt or fear of the ball that she got from a regular softball. Tennis balls were a nice thing for a while but the fact that this is the right size and weight really helps her get a good feel in her glove for the ball and what to expect when catching the ball she will be using in spring. I bought this item about 3 weeks ago& have been using with my kids during practice. It has made our training sessions way more interesting, because we use it in conjunction with our other gear( ladder& hurdle). Was really tough at first, but kids picked it up quick. Manufacturer has a bunch of cool drills on their website `` film room '' that are fun, so we 're working through those each week.

Only other downside it the screws provided, they will get damaged, I have been using this for about 60 hours now and still have n't broken them, but it's starting to strip the screws provided. But that also is a inexpensive fix to be honest for when it does eventually break the bolt
