After wearing these goggles about 25 days on the mountain this year, I can honestly say that I wo n't wear another pair of goggles again( unless of course Smith can somehow improve on these). They are extremely comfortable, have never fogged up on me, and do not impede on my natural field of vision. I 've had issues in the past with goggles lenses making it harder to see ice, but the lenses in these googles seem to make it easier to see. Lastly, swapping lenses is incredibly easy, and can be done on the lift with cold hands in less than a minute. My one constructive item would be simply to recommend not getting the North Face model with the red strap. They cost more and have two factors that cause me to prefer my other standard 4D model: The case is soft and not as protective standard hard case, and the Smith and North Face logos are patches stitched onto the strap and the stitching has begun to fray already. Again, this only applies to the TNF model.

I ’ ve been using the wildcat for a couple years now and my helmet was always pushing those down my nose. That problem is gone thanks to the new design and size of the bobcat. They stay put on my face so well! I bought the photochromic lens for these and they are the perfect trail lens. I can see everything even when they are dark which has always been a problem for me with other dark lenses in the woods. For gravel or road rides with less shade I ’ d probably want a full on sunny lens as the photochromic goes clear to grey. Overall, I ’ m very pleased and would definitely recommend the new bobcat.

[ Featherlight but strong- you might even forget you 're wearing them if it were n't for all the compliments you receive. No slip grip on the supple nose pads. Say goodbye to the squints- you can just feel your eyes relax when you put these on. My favorite feature is probably function of the stems- they snap open and shut and hold their position, so if you have your shades clipped in to the front of your shirt, they wo n't fall out when you bend over to pet that awesome dog you just saw. I was worried they 'd be too big for my face, since the frames are quite large, but my mom said I look handsome in them and she's the expert. No shade for Smith- they just make good shades.

I bought my first pair of Serpico's( 1st gen) in 2009 and currently I 'm on my fourth pair. My wife liked mine so much that she bought a pair too. The polarized and chroma- pop optical quality is excellentt, the toric lens curvature is beyond reproach, the novel nose- piece design is tops. I think these are the most finely styled aviators on the market. Ever better than my WWII pilot grandfathers mil- issued Ray Bans! But, the ear piece, temple piece... hinge interface is poorly designed. Hence why I 'm on my fourth pair in 14 years. They eventually wear out or just break, I know this four times first hand. I 've been round and round with Smith CS many times regarding this and I assure you I take very good care of my glasses. If they are n't on my face they 're in their case. So goodby Smith Serpico's, I 'm done. I 'll dearly miss the Serpico's but these glasses deserve a redesigned( better) frame that that will hold up better to being worn daily. Spring temples anyone? I 'll keep watch for Serpico III's. Until then I 'm going to try some competitors wares.

I am asian so the low bridge nose is a real plus for me. The only draw back is the goggle crown pushes my POC helmet up a bit but it&# x27;s not noticeable as I ski.

I&# x27; ve taken this out on a bluebird day and a heavy storm powder day so far. The platinum mirror finish performed great in the sun. It looked surprisingly close to the image on the site, which inspires confidence in choosing tint. The spare amber lens worked better than expected in a storm. My SportRX inserts fogged up heavily while the lens did not. I trust the anti- fog claims now. Ventilation through the bridge and nose worked well, but not amazing. Likely a helmet incompatibility. Switching lenses was slightly difficult, but doable. I would worry about clip durability if switching lenses frequently. The strap held well even without a retaining clip and during soaked conditions. Straps were easy to adjust and didn&# x27; t bind up.

They seem to work very well. I have n't worn the original lens yet, only the lighter extra lens that was provided- which was awesome. I use this Smith helmet for racing in the sprint Paratriathlon And have enjoyed being able to use the visor instead of sunglasses and also it is easy to put on and fits well on my head.

Great helmet, covers enough to protect my head( I 've had 4 concussions) yet it's not huge, I 'm a small so less is more. I really like the built- in sunglasses however it's really hard to wipe your sweat above the brow and when you blow your nose it sprays inside the lens( LOL). I 'm a triathlete so I 'm on the bike for several hours during a race and it's nice to be able to do those things. Looking forward to my next race where I can get used to it more but I definitely feel well protected in it which is the whole point.
