I recently purchased the 4D Mag goggles with the Everyday Red Mirror lens- I had been using that lens color with my Smith Proxy goggles and found it to get washed out in cloudy conditions. I also do a lot of local night skiing and it was n't great for night time. The Storm Yellow Flash lens that comes with this kit is AMAZING at night and in cloudy/low- light conditions. The 4D Mag goggles have an incredible field of vision- 180 degrees of peripheral vision and they curve under on the bottom, so you can actually see your feet while wearing them and looking straight ahead. When they arrived they had the Red Mirror lens on them- I was heading out to do some night skiing and needed to change the lens to the Storm Yellow Flash lens. It was undoubtedly the easiest goggle lens change I 've ever had to perform. Simply pop off the old lens and snap on the new lens. The magnets are snug and strong. As I use a Smith helmet, these fit perfectly with it allowing me to ski without every having to worry about it.

Really like the Gold tinted lense on my 4D Mag goggles. Filters the bright sun on sunny days where the light reflex off of the snow with no reflective glares. I am asian so the low bridge nose is a real plus for me. The only draw back is the goggle crown pushes my POC helmet up a bit but it&# x27;s not noticeable as I ski.

It&# x27;s a good pair of goggles and I use it with a Smith helmet( large) but it seems that the goggles are just a bit too large as the top of the goggles and brim of the helmet want to push on each other. I find myself having to adjust the fit after every run. Pairing goggles and helmet that are same brand does not appear to give the best fit. Only after putting it in use do you notice this and once used, no returns are allowed so that&# x27;s a bummer.

I&# x27; ve taken this out on a bluebird day and a heavy storm powder day so far. The platinum mirror finish performed great in the sun. It looked surprisingly close to the image on the site, which inspires confidence in choosing tint. The spare amber lens worked better than expected in a storm. My SportRX inserts fogged up heavily while the lens did not. I trust the anti- fog claims now. Ventilation through the bridge and nose worked well, but not amazing. Likely a helmet incompatibility. Switching lenses was slightly difficult, but doable. I would worry about clip durability if switching lenses frequently. The strap held well even without a retaining clip and during soaked conditions. Straps were easy to adjust and didn&# x27; t bind up.

The everyday lens provided great shading and plenty of contrast against the snow. They seem to work very well. I have n't worn the original lens yet, only the lighter extra lens that was provided- which was awesome. The light lens was easy to see in overcast conditions and it was easy to change them out. I have struggled with goggles and glasses that get pushed down my nose/face by my mountain bike and ski helmets because of my small( short and narrow) face, causing interference in sight and even breathing when they pinch my nostrils. These actually stay put and do n't interfere with the placement of my helmet and vice versa. They function great on bluebird days and in snowstorms, for inbound and BC skiing, with temperatures below zero and in higher humidity days. I 'd love to have S options for MTB goggles but for now, I 'm using these for ski as well for winter MTB riding. They are of the quality and style we 've come to expect from Smith.

Great helmet, covers enough to protect my head( I 've had 4 concussions) yet it's not huge, I 'm a small so less is more. I really like the built- in sunglasses however it's really hard to wipe your sweat above the brow and when you blow your nose it sprays inside the lens( LOL). I 'm a triathlete so I 'm on the bike for several hours during a race and it's nice to be able to do those things. Looking forward to my next race where I can get used to it more but I definitely feel well protected in it which is the whole point.
