This honestly is a life saver!! I accidentally dumped out my wife's wedding ring on a lake beach after a waterproof kayak pouch was engulfed with water. I had my phone, car keys and unfortunately forgot her ring was in there. After 2 days of trying to find it without this metal detector, I went and bought it. I found her ring on the 3rd day looking!! Awesome!

I picked this up to use at my home range and the 2 Rivers Archer Club's Range. It's wonderful for finding lost arrows. When you consider a metal arrow head is anywhere from 1/2 inch to an inch in length you ca n't imagine how pleased we are with this metal detector. Well worth the money IMO

My CTX 3030 causes sore elbows after a couple hours use. This equinox is bringing much relief. It's a great detector as well, and much easier to learn than the CTX. Very pleased with my new machine.

I ’ ve had my 800 for 9 months now, it ’s done nothing but impress me over and over. I was using a Whites V3i and Garrett ’s AT Pro before buying the equinox. I sold off both of those machines with no regrets and now use the equinox as my primary machine and have never done better. The battery life is great, about 13 hours on a charge. It ’s lightning fast recovery and processing speed are where this thing shines. Along with really good depth. I ’ ve took this machine to spots that I hunted heavy with my old machines and found things I missed or couldn ’ t hit with them, same outcome at spots that have been hunted by others before. As of 8- 28- 19 I am up to 71 silver coins, 3 large cents, 54 Indian head pennies, and hundreds of wheat pennies with this machine. If you choose this machine you will not regret it!

Could'nt be more pleased with the NOX 800! Perfect settings right out of the box and too many features to list! BEST all around detector I have ever used! Plus Dick's ran the 20% OFF COUPON which made it the lowest price for a NOX anywhere! This detector is by far the BEST!

I own a Minelab Equinox and bought the Vanquish 340 as a backup detector. I have owned it for a couple months now. The coil size makes it ideal for working school and park play areas. Performance is outstanding and the auto noise cancelling makes it a smooth quiet running detector. Target ID and Depth are right on.

When selecting a coin detector, consider features such as sensitivity, discrimination capabilities, and depth detection. Sensitivity allows the detector to pick up smaller coins, while discrimination helps differentiate between valuable coins and unwanted metals. Additionally, look for user-friendly controls and a lightweight design for ease of use.
Coin detectors are designed to identify a wide range of coins, including modern currency, historical coins, and even foreign coins. The effectiveness can vary based on the detector's sensitivity settings and the type of ground conditions. Many detectors can also be adjusted to focus on specific metal types, enhancing their ability to locate desired coins.
The performance of a coin detector can be significantly influenced by environmental factors such as soil composition, mineralization, and moisture levels. Highly mineralized soil may require a detector with advanced discrimination features to filter out unwanted signals. Additionally, wet conditions can enhance conductivity, potentially improving detection capabilities.
To use a coin detector effectively, it's important to practice proper swinging techniques, maintain a consistent speed, and keep the coil close to the ground. Additionally, overlapping your swings can help ensure thorough coverage of an area. Familiarizing yourself with the detector's audio signals will also aid in identifying potential finds.
The depth range for detecting coins can vary widely depending on the detector's specifications and the size of the coin. Generally, most coin detectors can locate coins buried up to 6 to 12 inches deep, while some advanced models may reach even deeper. Factors such as soil conditions and the type of coin being searched for can also impact detection depth.
Yes, a coin detector can be used for various metal detecting purposes beyond just locating coins. Many enthusiasts use these detectors to find jewelry, relics, and other valuable metal objects. The versatility of coin detectors makes them suitable for treasure hunting in parks, beaches, and historical sites.
