Columbia is by far my favorite brand of hiking boots/shoes because they always just fit me really well, and this boot is no exception. The Newton Wander is a good looking and comfortable hiking boot. I do n't feel like it needed any break in period, and I wore mine as my daily drivers until the arches were shot. I always left them tied, but could get them on and off quickly by looping the laces on and off of the top couple sets of hooks. Even after they were worn out and the soles were worn down, I kept them around and wore them a couple more times to do some landscaping work and rebuild a retaining wall in my back yard. They can really take a beating!

[ I have had several pairs of these and will keep buying them as long as they are available. I use them for everything from hiking and fishing to farm work, roofing and all types of construction. I even have a pair I wear for casual outings. Buy these shoes every year for our daughter. I believe this will be her 4th pair. They keep her feet warm& dry. Our temp here in the PNW doesn ’ t get too low( lowest around 20 degrees), so I can ’ t vouch for how it would do in the single digits. They fit true to size. They are a bit stiff in the ankles the 1st day of wear, but still comfy. I have the adult version& love how cozy& comfortable they are for hiking in the snow or cold rain. I buy them a half size larger than I do even my regular boots( 1/2 size up for semi- thick socks, full size up for extra thick socks) to accommodate very thick& fuzzy Columbia socks( so cozy!), but our daughter doesn ’ t like to wear super thick socks, so I buy her regular size. These boots can withstand a lot of use without showing much wear. Each year we give away her outgrown boots& they barely look used. Women with large feet want warm, comfortable and stylish boots! I love these boots. I have a struggle getting my right boot on due to my high arch. My left one is no problem. I usually buy a medium width and that ’s what I purchased with this boot!

These boots are still new but I want to share my experience with you. They are warm but breathable and never too warm. My feet stay dry and odor free. There was never an uncomfortable moment. My feet in socks did not slip in the boots at all, yet they were easy to pull on and off. I did not lose my footing on any surface. The upper looks like expensive suede that requires some care, but it has been carefree.

[ Just got in the mail today. They are really comfortable. I sized up a half a size and they fit perfect with a bit of room for thinker socks. I haven ’ t wore them outside yet but i feel they will keep my feet warm with how warm my feet got while wearing them for the bit of time I had them on. My only concern is the heal part. As a few other reviews said the heel part rubs a tiny bit and I feel it might either make my heel raw or give me a blister. Other than that I love them and can ’ t wait for the snow to really try them out!

[ I purchased these in black, with the black soles and greyish black “ fur ”. These winter boots are soft inside and super cozy. These keep my feet toasty warm, and keep the snow at bay on cold fall and winter days. They are a perfect fit because they are not loose, but are also not too tight in the leg area. It feels like a gentle hug on the legs when wearing, which helps keep the cold and wet out, and the heat and dry in. I love that there are no shoe laces to tie each too. Another great product from Columbia!

[ I ’ m 32 weeks pregnant and can not reach my feet anymore so I bought this pair and they ’ re so comfortable and warm on top of easy to put on. I live in northern Alaska and the temps continue to drop but they ’ re still super warm and even warmer with the Columbia socks I bought. I usually wear size 9 but got 9 1/2 just cause my feet will start to swell and to be able to wear with thick socks and they fit perfectly. Definitely love this pair and would buy another if they wear out!

Just right for me. Good fit, easy on and off, comfortable, lightweight but durable, watertight, warm. Tall enough to keep most snow out but short enough to fit beneath flared jeans. Also works with leggings. And they look good.

The wearer has a slightly wider foot, but the regular fit is still very comfortable! We were planning on switching for the “ wide ” but it isn ’ t necessary.
