It does seem to hug a little more at the sides, but not too tight--- this is generally a problem area for me with bottoms and these are excellent. The material is nice, soft yet durable. Not too thick that it takes an extended period of time to dry after a swim. These are also very stylish and look great. Not a bad thing to report on this product.
