My only complaint is that the actual color of the shorts dont match what is shown in the pictures. The gray ones for example look like a lighter gray but in person are very dark. I find this to be a common pattern with Nike ’s products. Maybe they use a filter on their photos and edit the lighting which in turn changes the color in the photos. These are great shorts. I mainly use them for running and functional training but they are so comfy i even wear them around the house casually. I love shorts that are a bit forgiving around the waist and dont feel like they are suffocating me. The Nike Stride shorts tend to make me feel that way. Also the liner is a great size on these shorts and actually fit, much wider than the stride shorts. I think if you ’ re built wider or maybe your a body builder type with more muscle, then these might be a better fit. I wear Medium in shorts and pants in general and I ordered a Medium in these.

I was extremely disappointed when Carhartt discontinued the B- 144 style men's shorts. I have two pairs approximately three years old that I managed to make last through last summer, even though one pair was starting to resemble a pair of cut off blue jeans what with the cuffs unraveling! But low and behold I discovered about a week and a half ago that Carhartt had introduced the new 105841 Rugged Flex Canvas shorts with an 8 inch inseam! I immediately ordered a pair, received them two days ago, and am extremely pleased! They are more durable than the old 100% cotton B- 144s but have the same short inseam... [ These shorts feel amazing, a perfect mix of cozy and soft. My husband wears a small and they fit perfect, just enough room to feel comfortable. He loved the detail of the zipper pocket. He often drops things out of his pocket without knowing, so this feature was one he truly appreciated. The fabric was a surprising hit. At first we thought fleece, that ’ ll be too hot, but instead they aren ’ t hot, just cozy. I guess having the fleece in shorts is enough to cut the heat, because these have become his favorite shorts to wear, and we live in Florida. I think the only thing to add would be another zippered pocket on the other side. Other than that these shorts are a winner.
