I haven ’ t been able to utilize yet in the winter but the elastic waist is much stronger than LL Bean ’s supplex shorts since they went to China for production, and at lesser cost.. They look nice and feel nice, but they are definitely a little small compared to other shorts. I typically wear an XL and that is what I ordered. Typically that size is either perfect or a somewhat big on me... but not the case here. They still fit, but are a little snug.
