The shorts are clean and tight looking, I enjoy wearing them with a plain white or black poly tee with some low cut white shoes. It's great for a summer date night outfit or just other casual event that you want to have a nice clean look for. Pockets are very usable and not too shallow. There is actually a right hand side small zip up pocket that is good for a car key or small set of keys or some cash. Another nice pair of shorts from Dick's, I 've gotten quite a few now from Dick's Sporting Goods and have been happy with all of them. This pair is no exception. Really excellent shorts in fact. These are made of a thin moisture wicking material with an inner integrated 'underwear' compression part. This is well- designed and it's not too tight but supportive enough for any activity, whether running or plyometrics. This are quite short, a real modern style running short length. The shorts are loose enough to not restrict your movement when you are active. But with the inner compression part you do n't need to feel self- conscious if you 're down on your back lifting your legs in a fitness class or something. The stitching seems very good, with it being stitched in an eye- pleasing way- by this I mean it's not just a plain 'bag' like one- piece short- it looks good. There are two pockets on either side with the left one having an inner zipped pocked. This is n't real large but it's stretchy, so my mid- sized Samsung phone fit in it just fine. It's seems to be sturdy enough to hold a phone without it bouncing inside there. So, a really good pair of shorts, they seem to be well- made and well- designed.

After wearing these shorts for a short period of time, they quickly became my husbands number 1 pair of shorts. When asked what he likes most about them he pointed out that they are incredibly stretchy and flexible but have a nice sturdy feel to them. He prefers a trimmer fit to his shorts with longer inseams and these were perfect! They also have cargo short style storage while still looking much cleaner and sleeker. He does wish there was a second pocket on the rear.

Wear these shorts all summer long and never be disappointed. Stretch material is so comfortable you barely notice these are even on. I roll these up and bring them in pack every trip, they 're great for when I get to camp and start to chill, they work as swim shorts and dry quick, they work if it's really a hot day and the trail is n't too rugged. Only thing is the pockets can be uncomfortable if they 're loaded up too much. I rarely use them.

I 've owned many pairs of the original Stretch Zion shorts and now have moved to the new version. The new Stretch Zion II is has a few changes, but in my opinion, they are still a great pair of shorts. The minor changes like the plastic button and the new fabric still work fine and did n't bother me. Going to the plastic button from the metal one only took a few times of wearing them to get easier to button. The new fabric is still super soft and comfortable but has a sort of shine to it when the light hits them just right. Not a big deal for me. The things that make these my favorite shorts are the comfortable fabric, the adjustable waist band, the color options, and the different pockets. They are also very versatile, I can wear them for activities like hiking and also to a nice restaurant. I own multiple pairs because I wear them all summer.
