Favorite shorts I own. I have worn these a handful of times and they are I don ’ t have one negative thing to say about them! I ’ ll wear them on runs and just keep them on for whatever activity or errands I do after that. The zippered pocket in the back is great. Another nice pair of shorts from Dick's, I 've gotten quite a few now from Dick's Sporting Goods and have been happy with all of them. This pair is no exception. Really excellent shorts in fact. These are made of a thin moisture wicking material with an inner integrated 'underwear' compression part. This is well- designed and it's not too tight but supportive enough for any activity, whether running or plyometrics. This are quite short, a real modern style running short length. The shorts are loose enough to not restrict your movement when you are active. But with the inner compression part you do n't need to feel self- conscious if you 're down on your back lifting your legs in a fitness class or something. The stitching seems very good, with it being stitched in an eye- pleasing way- by this I mean it's not just a plain 'bag' like one- piece short- it looks good. There are two pockets on either side with the left one having an inner zipped pocked. This is n't real large but it's stretchy, so my mid- sized Samsung phone fit in it just fine. It's seems to be sturdy enough to hold a phone without it bouncing inside there. So, a really good pair of shorts, they seem to be well- made and well- designed.

The shorts are clean and tight looking, I enjoy wearing them with a plain white or black poly tee with some low cut white shoes. It's great for a summer date night outfit or just other casual event that you want to have a nice clean look for. Pockets are very usable and not too shallow. There is actually a right hand side small zip up pocket that is good for a car key or small set of keys or some cash. With the many types of sports underwear out there it ’s hard to find a tight snug fit that will keep things in place. I ’ m prone to hamstring pulls so I need the compression from shorts to keep muscles tight and warm. These definitely do the trick. Great style and breathability. My only complaint is that the actual color of the shorts dont match what is shown in the pictures. The gray ones for example look like a lighter gray but in person are very dark. I find this to be a common pattern with Nike ’s products. Maybe they use a filter on their photos and edit the lighting which in turn changes the color in the photos. These are great shorts. I mainly use them for running and functional training but they are so comfy i even wear them around the house casually. I love shorts that are a bit forgiving around the waist and dont feel like they are suffocating me. The Nike Stride shorts tend to make me feel that way. Also the liner is a great size on these shorts and actually fit, much wider than the stride shorts. I think if you ’ re built wider or maybe your a body builder type with more muscle, then these might be a better fit. I wear Medium in shorts and pants in general and I ordered a Medium in these.

The shorts might run a little small. I tend to wear the L pants but got the XL shorts and they work well for me. I like the internal liner, but still wear by boxer briefs with them. I really need to try them without the boxes and see how they work. The pockets are a good size, but anything in them will swing as you run or walk fast. the draw string come in handy to tie the shorts off and hold them up.

[ I 'm a shorts guy, so let's get that out of the way first. It can be 30 outside, raining or snowing, and you 'll usually find me in shorts year round. It's essential I have several pairs laying around at all times so I can rotate frequently, but since I got these, I do n't feel I have the need to switch out of them as often as I probably should, they are super comfy, and can go with anything else I throw on to wear with them. The fit of these is great, I 'm generally between a M- L in most things depending on how they run, and these are right in the middle for me, which is perfect. If you 're a true large around a 34 waist and do n't like a snug fit, I 'd suggest maybe size up. They do n't shrink when you wash them which is nice as well. The materials are great, nice soft and comfy fit, and really appreciate the fact they have a liner and are n't a single layer of mesh like my Jordan brand DNA shorts( which are basically see- through). They are advertised as 6 '' shorts, but from my experience wearing a lot of running shorts as well, they do have a higher rise and longer outseam, so these are n't going to be hitting you mid thigh like most typical 6 '' shorts do, unless you pull them up to your belly button. For me, it's the perfect length, not at the knee, but a couple inches above. And unlike most above the knee basketball shorts, these are n't super wide at the opening make us guys with smaller legs look like we are swimming in short shorts, I 've had that issue in the past where they are very wide and it just does n't look right with above the knee shorts, but no issue here with these! The material is fantastic, it's not heavy, very soft to the touch, does n't have a cold/cool feeling like typical mesh, but it's got that drifit feel you are used to from Nike products, which I really enjoy. Moisture wicking, breathable, absolutely nothing to complain about with these! These are probably going to be my daily shorts for a while, unless Nike comes out with something better any time soon. I own a lot of different pairs of shorts, but honestly for the fit, comfort, and versatility of these, they are hands down my favorite right now. Either going outside and getting some exercise, sitting at home relaxing, or even running errands on the weekend, these are it for me.

There is a pocket on the left side of the compression short, it can hold your cell phone or wallet. There is a small zipper pocket on the right butt cheek and a loop on the left hip, where you could place a small towel to hold while working out or a spring link clip that is holding your keys. I 'm my opinion, the right& left pockets of the shorts are fairly deep, I can place my phone in the pocket and be worried it would fall out when taking a seat. [ These shorts are really well made. The fabric is really thick and feels like the shorts will be very durable. The fit is a little snug but everything is made from stretch material so they ’ re still really comfortable. The length is perfect for an above the knee look, but not so short that they make me uncomfortable. I love that these can look casual with an untucked t- shirt, but you can also dress them up too. They have belt loops and waist closures like a pair of slacks. Also the plastic key chain look on the waistband is a nice touch too. I ’ d definitely recommend these as a versatile pair of shorts that can go with everything.
