My wife has had this helmet for several years. She wore it pretty regularly until this past summer. Last year she decided that helmets were unnecessary and did not really provide much protection and that their effectiveness was overrated. I never wore a helmet so it was no concern to me. Some friends i occasionally ride with wanted me to take aride with them but informed me i needed a helmet so i took my fifes old fixture. I was amazed it was comfortable well vented lite and provided a sense of safety. I did not crash but am sure it would save me i will wear it again

Very light, yet stylish look but the main thing for me is comfort and safety. I have a somewhat big head and it adjust perfectly to my head in a seamless way. This is both my first Giro brand helmet and my first MIPS technology helmet. I like how Giro has the side straps set already so that's two less buckles to adjust and loosen on their own. Coming from Bell helmets I had to get used to adjusting the straps by pulling to center them each wear no biggie for better comfort. Speaking of comfort the dial to tighten in the back is much better than Bell helmets. The MIPS technology allows the helmet to move slightly while staying right to your head to reduce injury in a collision. As a former racer, courier, and bicycle commuter I can feel how that would help. I hope I never need it Overall the best helmet I 've ever owned.

Bell is big- headed friendly. Their bicycle helmets are just a touch larger than other brands even though the specs have the same listing. I 've purchased motorcycle helmets from Bell too and it's the same. If you got a XXL head then checkout Bell first. Also super cheap for decent quality.
