I have long been partial to director style chairs, but this chair has them beat, being more comfortable and folding up more compactly. I am 6' 5 '' and 350 lbs, and the seat height, angle width& depth are all perfect. Rigid arm rests are sturdy plastic and shaped to allow finding several positions that are `` just right. '' Folks under 6 feet, unless very long legged should probably look elsewhere. Steel tube construction. looks and feels very substantial. Soft soil or sand locations may be a problem: the chair contacts the ground only at the 4 corners.

The GCI Outdoor Roadtrip Rocker is an excellent chair that sits on the fence between an `` A '' or a `` B ''. Just a couple extra credit assignments and it firmly passes with straight A's. This chair is very comfortable and does a surprisingly good job as a rocking chair. The back is tall enough to lean back and feel supported. It is wide enough be bundled up in blankets and still have room. There are two things I 'd like have changed slightly. If you are sitting up to a table, or even just forward on the chair it is a bit too relaxed. Lastly, be prepared for a fairly large item when folded. Getting all this comfort into a bag poses a big challenge. Well done GCI!

This chair feels sturdy, it has weight to it and is comfortable. Im a bigger boy at 250lbs and I feel like im not going to blow through it. Other rocker camp chairs have a whine or squeal to them. I have not had that experience with this chair. My wife and I keep them in the garage of our camper. Their folding design works great for some smaller spaces. This is for sure a chair you are not hauling far from the truck or camper. Highly recommend if you are the on the fence.

While my Sunset Chair also has a high position, the Cafe Chair position works better for me. The Sunset is a more comfortable leaned- back design for relaxing, but the Cafe Chair is a practical multi- purpose design for the campsite. Sturdy, easy to assemble, easy to clean, quick drying. [ I bought this chair to have a collapsible chair that is at normal table height. This chair meets that and may actually be slightly too small for people with shorter legs. Despite the additional height it is quite stable, although as with all Helinox- type collapsible chairs you will need a base to support it on soft ground. The back of the the chair is not height enough to rest your head back but the back provides adequate support in an upright posture. It is fairly comfortable and the vented back panel should prevent overheating but the sides of the seat are a bit narrow so if you are on the wider/heavier side you may find that it cups tightly. It is somewhat heavier than the smaller chairs and too heavy for backpacking but I keep it in the truck and it is sufficiently compact compared to other options. Overall, it ’s the best and only choice for this style of chair at a full table height.

The arm rests are adjustable with a cord in the back and the cup holder even have little holes in the bottom so if you spill a drink in them you don ’ t have to worry about it standing and growing mold. The back has 3 levels of recline which are easily adjusted by pulling out the pin and sliding the bar upwards. Another great bonus is that there is a storage pouch on the back of the chair which is removable by unzipping it from the chair if you need to take your belongings with you when if you decide to explore. Simple assembly
Love these! Great for a day at the park, beach or even camping. I 've used them on kayak paddles overnight and they are compact and lightweight enough. I have n't used them on overnight hikes as they are still a tab heavy and bulky, but perhaps good enough for a short overnight. Assembly is quite easy once you follow the instructions and use a bit of brain power. Slip on the top loops first and one of the bottom loops, Flip the chair on to its side with the attached part on the bottom and use the ground as leverage to flex the top pole and slip the 2nd bottom piece on.

Great little light chair! Yes, the chair fabric was initially stiff the first time assembling. We have happily owned and used: for sporting events, parks, basically even for quick additional seating for teen video gaming in our livingroom. HOWEVER- though the pockets for poles were stiff initially when we first got this chair and put it together- We left it put together and used it in our house for probably 30- or so times of sitting in over a few weeks. Ta- Da- the fabric, where the poles insert, stretched some and the chair is now `` normal easy '' to put together and take apart. The fabric has held up nicely after repeated use. The chair is comfy; some choose to use with the neck roll, while others remove( for gaming, our TV is up above the fireplace, so that's when the neck roll was removed). Very lightweight, handy little storage bag- we hook the handle of the storage bag through one of the poles that go into pockets which helps us keep track if it. Even for a teen- this and a hammock is what they are camping with.

[ Bought this chair recently and I have to say, it fits my booty really really well. Light weight and stows away in the stuff sack well. It does take a little effort to put together because its a snug fit on the slots that the poles go into, but the slots seem well constructed and I expect this to last a long time.

The chair easily holds our weight and does n't feel like it will collapse or rip. I love that the arm rests are high as well as the back. It makes for a luxurious and comfortable seat. The addition of the drink holder and mini cooler are so convenient and really make a person feel like royalty. I can rest my neck on the back. My boyfriend is 6 ’ tall and 180. He can ’ t rest his neck but is still very comfortable in the high back chair zero. We both got in and out of it without thinking, so it wasn ’ t too low to the ground or too tight on the hips. Absolutely now my favorite piece of gear!

[ I thought that this would be more like one of the bulky beach chairs but I was pleasantly surprised to find it is actually like the camp chairs that fold up and fit in the bag. This makes it so much easier to carry to and from the beach. It is very low to the ground so it is good for keeping your toes and feet in the sand. It is sturdy and light. You do not have the option of reclining back but you are not sitting up to straight or back too far. It has padded arms and a headrest. It is very comfortable and easy to use.
