After I unboxed these I found the quality was very high. The clips that come with this are very heavy duty and high quality. When I went back to Amazon and looked up anything approaching the quality of these dumbbell bars it was more expensive there when I added in two sets of very high quality clips. You can adjust the weight by adding or subtracting weight plates, which means that one pair of dumbbells allows you to do many different exercises. Yes, it takes a minute to screw the collars on and off to change weights-- but you need to rest a minute between sets anyway. I purchased these a month ago and have used them almost daily. They are very comfortable. Before I purchased them, I was n't sure if I 'd like them. I 'm so glad I bought them because I 've found I really I like the softness of the dumbbells and they do n't get slippery if I sweat a little. The strap is excellent too because it gives extra security while holding the dumbbell. I highly recommend this product.

These handweights are soft filled, weight in kilograms accounts for the pound weight being what it is. The strap is helpful or not, my large hand does n't entirely go in, I do 2 or 3 fingers, or ignore it. Very nice for walking or tv light not sweating workout. I bought this bar online through the store having gone there to make the purchase but it was n't a stocked item. Packed securely and shipped quickly, it arrived within a couple of days in perfect condition. It's well made and just what I needed. Two issues- one, as another reviewer commented, the bar comes with what I assume is an anti- rust coating that's a little messy to remove. It would be nice if some instructions came for that. Maybe there were and I just did n't see them. And two- the clerk who took the order told me my email address would be used only to communicate regarding the order. Now a day does n't pass without multiple emails from Dick's and they drive me nuts. I 've gone through the unsubscribe process twice to no avail.

It's a decent weight set. The problem I have is that when I called customer service to ask if the bar was one piece, I was told it was. I wanted the one bar strength in order to increase the weight. They were wrong. It is a 3 piece bar that is screwed together. It seems sturdy but I 'm not sure exactly how much weight the bar will hold now.
