Over the course of 11 days& 3000 miles, we visited Arches, Canyon Lands, Dead Horse Point, Zion, Sequoia, King's Canyon, Yosemite and Lake Tahoe. Suuuuper comfortable. Bought these for an 8 day trip to Norway. Only 2- 3 days of rain. Feet stayed dry. Hiked 400 meters in the hills. Very comfortable on the climb with great grip. Splashed through puddles. Even after racking up 12k, 17k, and 15k steps day after day, shoes felt soft and comfortable. Not sure how long the sole will last compared to its more rugged counterparts. I ’ m a size 15 and it ’s difficult to find a shoe that fits. The trail 2650 3 ” size 15 fits like a size 15. Other brands I have had to order, return and reorder a size bigger. Usually 15 is the max size offered. So having found a shoe that is made in a size 15 and fits like a 15 is great.

Come to find out my wife and mother in law sold that pair in a yard sale..:( Waited things out and they came on sale at Dick's for just under$ 285. Pulled the trigger for another pair of 8 EE's and just could not be more pleased. This time, bought the new Danner DXT Comfort Insoles( direct for Danner), and they made the best hiking boot, even better. Yeah, They are a lot of money, but they are well worth every penny. With the Mountain light IIs, 1/2 size down is the right fit for me with the EE wide fit. And, Dick's had the boots at our front door in two days!!!

[ I purchased these for carrying heavy loads in the Adirondacks. So far they have performed as advertised. The sole is nice and stiff for supporting your weight. There is also ample grip on any terrain. The boot kept my feet warm on a cool day. No experience yet in hot weather. They are a bit heavy but they are bullet proof.

[ I usually don ’ t rate products but these boots are great. They took virtually no time to break in even though they are a bit stiff. Use them hiking in the mountains and the give me great support which is mainly what I was looking for in a boot. Be aware they are a bit on the heavy side but for me they are worth it. I have used them one season and they still look great, very tough exterior really resist scuffs from rocks.

I have a pair of the military issue version of these boots, love these boots! I walk my dog in the high desert of NM around 4 miles a day. The are just right, not to heavy but give great support and protection in the varying high desert terrain. Just purchased a new pair, these are almost exactly the same as the issue version. The only difference is the new version has hooks at the very top lace, opposed to the holes on the mil version, which is even better!

[ Had these boots for a month now, I have not had the privilege to take them on a serious hike yet. I have had them off road in mud, the treads load up, but do self clean. The Gore- Tex liner works good, almost too good. My feet seemed to overheat in temps over 30 degrees. They are comfortable and require no break in period. I can see why Danner Crater Rim boots are a boot of choice for SOF operators in Afghan and other challenging environment. Best of all they are American made!!

[ The Danner Acadia runs a little narrow on the sides, but it is overall a great boot. This is my second pair and I use them for work as a camera operator... I got switched on to them when I was documenting law enforcement on various tv shows. The boot is polishable and you can resole it. Keeps your feet dry and warm in a temperate climate, but also wo n't overheat your feet in the summer. Solid bang for the buck!
