I haven ’ t been able to utilize yet in the winter but the elastic waist is much stronger than LL Bean ’s supplex shorts since they went to China for production, and at lesser cost.. Hopefully the longevity will be as good as theirs. I ’ ve been looking for a good replacement. I believe these will be much better. I ’ ve washed and still retain form. Excellent nylon suit, now ordering another pair for summer. Waist and length excellent for swimming, I prefer nylon to polyester in suits, dry quicker, less resistance in the water. Also uses these for surfing sometimes but better for swimming. Side pockets can balloon if bodysurfing, although meshed. Highly recommend as durable swim shorts.
