[ This bottle is excellent. Fill the bottle, put a filter puck in the screw on cap, and drink; it does not get any simpler. I went on a few multiday trips with this bottle in stow, and I have yet to find a bottle more packable. A few inches is all you need as far as space goes. Basically, it take about as much space as a tennis ball and it's very lightweight. I was worried that it might be a little tough to clean, but that's not the case. I have narrow bottle brushes to scrub if need be, but honestly fill it with soap and water when you get home, shake it out, and hang it upside down.

[ I have tried just about every ultralight water filtration system on the market and been repeatedly impressed by the BeFree's flow rate. The BeFree AC seems even faster than the original model, filling up my one- liter water bottle within seconds. After receiving this system in the mail, I tested it on multiple dayhikes and trail runs. It held up well, and the collapsible bottle made it exceedingly easy to pack. I usually stuffed it into the mesh front pocket of my backpack so I would have easy access to it when I came across a stream. I filtered probably a few dozen liters and saw no decline in the flow rate. The bottle's large mouth opening makes filling up a breeze. Throw on the filter cartridge and cap and you can drink straight from the bottle or filter water into another container. Simply put, this filtration system is very quick and easy to use. Because I saw no decline in flow rate, I had no reason to clean the filter cartridge in the field, but I know that this is also easy. All you have to do is fill the bottle with clean water, put on the filter cartridge and cap, and shake. I know from using the original BeFree that this method works to restore the flow when gunk from water sources clogs up the filter on long backpacking trips. This method is much easier than filters that require backflushing. The BeFree AC is also slightly sleeker than the original version, which makes it easier to keep the filter in your pocket during the winter so it does n't freeze. I have several long backpacking trips and mountain climbs scheduled this year, and I will be taking the BeFree AC as my primary water filtration system. [ I have always been skeptical of soft or flexy bottles because they don ’ t seem very durable, but this bottle exceeded my expectations! I accidentally stepped on it and it was totally fine. The flexible bottle made it super packable, as it is about the size of my fist when empty. There is also a loop when you can attach a carabiner to it, which is nice because it makes it easily accessible being that the soft bottle might be hard to get into a side pocket on a pack when the pack is full. It was also very easy to use because there aren ’ t many components. One you put it together you just have to run a liter of water through it to prep the bottle, and then you ’ re good to go. When filtering out the first liter it looks like the flow rate is super slow, but it ’s perfect when you ’ re actually drinking from the bottle. I used this bottle while hiking and camping at Table Rock State Park. The creek water had some silt in it as the area had just experienced some wildfires, but the water filtered through clear and tasted great. Finally cleaning the little was super simple too. You either shake the bottle or swish the filter in clean water, and you ’ re set. A deep clean consists of running a bleach/water solution through the filter. Overall I am super happy with this product and will definitely be taking it on all of my hiking/backpacking trips! Katadyn Group gave me this free product to try.

I bought this for the gorgeous peony pink color and kept for how useful it is. I can safely carry it in a bag or purse without worrying that it ’ ll leak, truly leakproof. It fits perfectly in my car ’s cup holder and holds enough water that I can drink it and refill daily at least once or twice a day. I am not a fan of bigger bottles because I don ’ t go through as much water, I drink tea and coffee throughout the day too. It also surprisingly doesn ’ t hold odors or flavors if I put in a Crystal Light pack for example, I wash with a little bleach and dawn and all odors gone which makes drinking plain water more enjoyable. I enjoy plain water most of the time. Also, if I add ice( rare case) it stays cold for a long time, I wouldn ’ t say 24 hours as it claims but a good 6- 8 hours as long as the liquid is cold when you put the ice in. The handle is super comfortable to hold. The only thing that bothers me a bit is the straw, it ’s a little cumbersome with the handle. I love my non- Stanley normal sized beverage bottle!

By accident, I Dropped the bottle when it was full of water. I thought the plastic was going to crack or break. Instead the bottle bounced and rolled. It had no dents, no scratches and no leaks. This simple water bottle is excellent for daily use. Note that it is NOT insulated and works best if you don ’ t plan on trying to keep your drink cold for long periods. It will “ sweat ” depending on the liquid temperature. I use it if I need to have some water for a quick trip of errands, but also works well when I need to mix some simple, powdered supplements. The wide opening and cap are rubberized and easy to grip, remove, and replace. The only thing I think would make this bottle better is if the cap was an attached flip cap rather than the tether, which is a little awkward, so I removed it. The transparent blue is great for giving it some style and visibility to see how much liquid you have. This bottle is consistent with Yeti's quality and durability.

The Owala FreeSip 32 oz Water Bottle has easily become one of my favorite everyday purchases. I ’ ve gone through a lot of water bottles over the years, and most of them eventually annoyed me for one reason or another — leaking lids, poor insulation, awkward straws, or just being inconvenient to carry around. After using the Owala FreeSip 32 oz consistently for a while now, I can honestly say it ’s the best water bottle I ’ ve owned, and it fully deserves a 5- star review. The biggest reason I love it is the FreeSip lid design. At first, I thought it sounded kind of gimmicky, but it actually makes a huge difference. You can sip through the built- in straw while holding the bottle upright, or tilt it back and drink from the wider opening when you want to take bigger gulps. I didn ’ t realize how useful having both options would be until I started using it daily. It ’s especially convenient during workouts, driving, or working at my desk. The insulation is also impressive. I fill it with ice water in the morning, and there are usually still ice cubes left by the end of the day. I ’ ve even accidentally left it in my car for a few hours and the water stayed cold much longer than I expected. Unlike cheaper bottles, there ’s no weird metallic or plastic taste either. The stainless steel construction feels high quality and durable without being overly heavy. One of my favorite features is the locking lid. I ’ ve had too many bottles leak in backpacks or gym bags, so this was a huge improvement. The push- button lid snaps shut securely, and I ’ ve never had it leak even when it was laying sideways in a bag. The carry loop also makes it really easy to grab and take anywhere. The 32 oz size feels like the perfect balance. It holds enough water that I ’ m not constantly refilling it, but it ’s still comfortable to carry around throughout the day. Some larger bottles become bulky and annoying, but this one feels practical for everyday use. I also really like the powder- coated finish because it gives the bottle a good grip and keeps it from getting slippery. Another thing that surprised me was how easy it is to clean. Straw lids can sometimes get gross quickly, but this one is designed well enough that cleaning doesn ’ t feel like a chore. After months of regular use, mine still looks and works almost like new. If I had to mention one downside, it would probably be that the bottle can feel a little heavy when completely full, and it doesn ’ t fit perfectly in every car cup holder. But honestly, those are minor issues compared to how well everything else works. Overall, the Owala FreeSip 32 oz completely lived up to the hype for me. It keeps water cold for hours, never leaks, feels durable, and has one of the smartest lid designs I ’ ve used on a water bottle. It ’s one of those products that actually improves your daily routine, and I ’ ve found myself drinking more water simply because it ’s so convenient to use. I ’ d absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable insulated water bottle.

[ Received the bottle and inserted the carbon filter and then ran tap water through it. Then, I used this product to filter water at a stream on a hike, and the flow was great and the product is so easy to use. I just strapped the bottle on my pack and could easily get to it to fill up and drink cold fresh water. It cleans easily and the filter worked great. This product can be used by a beginner or an expert. I 've been using BeFree for years and I think what I really like about this new bottle is that it fits on the side pocket of pack as well as in the attachment I use on my front strap.

[ I tested with water from a tap, from a public fountain and from a pond while hiking in South Florida. I love that the system actually weighs less than a Smartwater bottle with a competitive filter attached. The hollow fiber holes are a mere. 1 microns. It is incredibly easy to use: just fill and squeeze or drink. Cleaning is as simple as adding purified water and lightly shaking the bottle. The flow rate is excellent, whether you squeeze the bottle or suck the water through. When I showed the BeFree AC Water Filter Bottle to my co- workers, they were impressed and believed these would be a great option for our backpacking customers seeking a durable and lightweight 2- stage water filtering system. [ Over the last couple weeks I tested this bottle while hiking. It's incredibly lightweight and easy to use. Placing the carbon filter was easy, just have to be cautious to not damage the fibers. Using on the trail was no issue. Simply pull from flowing water, put the lid on, and drink! I did n't notice any unusual tastes through the filter. Cleaning the bottle after a hike is quick. I appreciate that it's an easy to use system. The bottle feels high quality but the material is thin. I 'll be curious to see how it holds up after a year or more of use. [ I was genuinely impressed by how fast this filter flows, significantly better than other filters I ’ ve used in the past. Straight forward to use and clean. The bottle itself is slightly softer than a standard cycling bottle, which makes it easy to squeeze and noticeably boosts water output up to 2L/min when you need it. One important consideration: the filter components are sensitive to freezing and can be damaged if they freeze, so extra care is required in cold environments to prevent freezing. Beyond the sensitivity to freezing, I don ’ t question it ’s durability and ability to hold up in typical outdoor activities. Overall, this is an excellent option to keep on your mountain bike or in a backpack when heading into the backcountry. It offers the convenience of refilling from nearby water sources without sacrificing flow rate or usability. It is too big to fit in a running vest front pocket, but thankfully Katadyn makes filtration bottles that do! Katadyn Group gave me this free product to try.

[ I know this isn ’ t the 1st water filter bottle that can fit into a bikes water bottle mount but it ’s the first one I ’ ve used and I ’ ll tell you about what I love about it. The first is that it uses the same method to install the carbon filter to the nozzle as other Katadyn products. This method does not increase the size footprint of the product. I like my LifeStraw but to add the carbon filter you have to attach another filter to the original which almost doubles the size of it. Second thing is right out of the box there is no chemical taste from a new filter. Other brands require some filtering first to get the taste out. As a bikepacker I can see myself carrying multiple of these for long trips. I did some testing to see if this would work on other brand bottles and the thread pitch is different between brands so you have to use it only with the Katadyn bottle. The only thing I can think that would make this better would make an insulated version of it to keep it cooler on hot days. Highly recommended. Katadyn Group gave me this free product to try.
