[ I wear a size 11 shoe and bought 12. With a 4 mm wader booty and a medium thickness sock they fit perfectly. I just spent 7 days fishing, waddling and going through mucks and swamp getting to the creeks and streams. The Boa system works well. My heel stayed planted in the heel cup. The soles stayed put. These are my 7th pair of boots and are the most comfortable. Plenty of room in the toe box. I could wear these all day.

Frequently Asked Questions For Felt Sole Shoes

Felt sole shoes are specialized footwear designed primarily for water activities, such as fishing and wading in rivers and streams. The felt material provides excellent traction on slippery surfaces, making them ideal for navigating rocky or muddy terrain. These shoes are often used by anglers and outdoor enthusiasts who require stability and grip in wet conditions.

Felt soles offer superior grip on wet and slippery surfaces, which is crucial for activities like wading in rivers. They can conform to uneven surfaces, providing better traction and stability. However, they may not perform as well on dry land compared to rubber soles, which can be more versatile for various terrains.

Felt sole shoes are primarily designed for wet conditions and may not be ideal for use in extremely cold or icy environments, as the felt can retain moisture. They are best suited for mild to warm weather when wading in rivers or streams. For colder conditions, additional insulation or waterproofing may be necessary.

When selecting felt sole shoes, consider the type of activities you will be doing, the terrain, and the fit. Look for features such as ankle support, comfort, and durability, as well as the specific conditions you will encounter. It's also important to ensure that the shoes provide a secure fit to prevent slipping while wading.

While felt sole shoes are primarily designed for water activities, they can be used for short hikes in wet or muddy conditions. However, they may not provide the same level of support and protection as traditional hiking shoes. If you plan to hike extensively, consider footwear specifically designed for that purpose.
