The first time I took it fishing, a small alligator grabbed my buddies lure. No problem I used the clamp to hold the gator while we freed him of the lure... luckily we got him back in the water quickly saving the gator, the lure, and all out fingers.

I bought this primarily for catfish and toothy fishy as a way to get a good grip without getting poked. So far it works well and I 've had no issues with the quality. Largest fish it's had on was only about 3 pounds so far, so we 'll have to see if it can hold up to a monster. But I like that it floats, is simple to operate and does n't injure/harm the fish in any way.( I only catch and release regardless of species and size. So that's important to me.)

I bought this a year ago. I am a calibrator by trade and took it to work to test its accuracy. It is a very accurate little scale. It is within. 02 of an ounce accuracy. It is easy to use after reading the instructions and I love the 5 store weights that it holds for quick reference in tournaments.

This is my second one. Only thing that would make it better would be if it floated. Hence second one. I do use it to it potential, but I love the hook and the grip options for holding the fish. It is very easy to zero out and measurements have been very accurate.

I have used many types of culling tags and the new Rapala tags are the best of the lot. They open up very easy and safely secure each bass in a humane manner. And I have yet to see a bass come lose from a tag. Also, they are both numbered and colored coded!

So far I have used these culltags 3 times with no issues. I have used cheaper culltags from rapala that came with my touchscreen scale, as well as bass pro shops tags, and both broke quickly on me. These appear to be holding up well.
