Alot of complaints about the eyes not holding up but I have n't had any issues yet. I just got mine in the mail today and did not expect to be comparing it to my St Croix musky Rods but it is very comparable. I love the extended handle, which is a rare, but useful feature. The oversized heavy duty glass eyes will allow smooth casting of heavy line, good backbone, and charchuse for night anglers. Not just a rod for soaking stink baits.
