I have bought various sizes over the years, but I find the 6 oz is the sure fire in just about any condition. Pros- will hold the bottom on even some of the roughest days.- will hold bottom with big baits in current.- in tandem with a sinker slide, even good for small baits.- pretty much a must in some form or another. Cons- the beads which are supposed to keep the legs in place never stay on and often are misaligned. They still work without but definitely makes the legs break away easier.- sometimes line gets wrapped in the legs but legs are VERY much a necessary evil. Pyramids just get dragged in any kind of current, especially on the long cast. Overall, if you surf fish in any kind of strong currents, rough surf, or big baits, you ’ re going to need them or prepare for a mountain of frustration as your lines tangle and you have to recast 1000 times cause your baits are washed up on shore.

They 're sinkers. It's not easy to get them wrong. The problem was that I had a fishing trip in 2 days, and I realized I needed these in a hurry so I would n't have to waste time the morning of the trip trying to find them at a tackle shop when I got there. I live on the western side of NJ and it's hard to find saltwater tackle when I need it. Once you get towards the end of summer the stores do n't seem to restock the shelves with that stuff. I checked Dick's website and they had them in the store near me. I was able to buy them online and pick them up the next day and be ready to fish when I got to the shore instead of going shopping for sinkers.

picked up some stop- itz weight pegs good size easy to put on, going to use as a bobber stop ... Easy to use ... weights and up to20# test monofilament diameter( or braid equivalent), the jethro® stop- itz weight peg is easy to apply and will not fray

Tried most of the pegs out there and beside some that are more expensive, these perhaps work better in my opinion. They seems to stay where you put them when using the recommended line. I would say for the price to performance these are the best overall buy.

Recently started flipping a Texas rig into some lillypads and these work great. They stay on where you put it and so far out of all the brands I ’ ve used these actually stay where they are supposed to. Overall, very happy with these stops and will never use others!
