For the last 5 years I have been using a Cleveland Launcher( MFG date 2003?) and I hit it extremely well. My golf buddy recently bought a Cobra F9 and asked me to try it and to my astonishment I drove the ball farther with his club than I do with my own club SO I started looking for a newer driver. This Srixon looked like it was the closest match to the Cleveland Launcher. I was a little concerned when it arrived because the shaft is stiffer than the Fukishira stiff shaft on my Launcher but, those concerns disappeared the very first drive I used this Srixon on- my golf league started on the back 9 and I nearly drove the 10th hole!! That first drive was right on the sweet spot. Other drives that weren ’ t quite on the sweet spot were still impressive. Tee the ball high( I use marked blue tees) and you won ’ t be disappointed.

I purchased the TSi1 driver with the light shaft( 40g), regular flex. The club was to upgrade from my Cobra offset driver. Due to a tendency to produce a fade or mild slice, I have been using various editions of the Cobra offset driver for years. After getting older( 67) I was getting fed up with losing so much distance off the tee to my playing partners so decided to check out some new products that were appropriate for my age and could be adjusted for my swing. I tested the Callaway Epic, Taylormade Sim 2, and the Titleist TSi1 driver on the range at Heron Glen Golf Course in Flemington NJ. I quickly dismissed the Epic, and concentrated on the other two clubs. It was a close choice to be fair but the Titleist produced the straight, repeatable shot I wanted so I opted for the TSi1 which was set up with the hosel settings set to D3. I played my first round with it yesterday, and I am ecstatic about this club. It produced predictable solid drives all day which were on average at least 20 yards further than I was used to hitting the ball. This resulted in using shorter clubs into greens which as expected resulted in better scores. I LOVE this Titleist driver and would highly recommend it to anyone who is now a senior, has always fought a slice, and is looking for more distance. I will be returning for a fairway wood and some hybrids as soon as I have the money!

I just demoed the new GTS drivers. I must say that all three felt extremely good at impact. However, I had the most success with the GTS2. I had my longest carries and furthest overall distances with the GTS2 for my swing speed of around 95 MPH. The spin was between 2000- 2700, which is optical for me. I am a senior golfer and was previously gaming the Callaway Paradym X 12. 5 driver--- no complaints. However, I like to try new tech and being a loyal Callaway player I decided to try the newer Ai Smoke Fast 10. 5 driver with a lighter shaft- same flex as previous one. Something about this club is different from the predecessors. I ordered it with the Kai ’ Li blue shaft in a stiff flex. I cut the shaft down by about a half an inch so it matched my height and I changed the grip to a midsize golf pride MC +4 It ’s early on in the season however I have to say this club is aces. I ’ ve had the Producers as well which are also excellent clubs however I really like the look of this Driver. I also went from 10. 5° down to 9° and I ’ m actually hitting the ball higher, and about 10 yards longer. I look forward to the warmer weather to see how the golf ball reacts under normal conditions but as for performance in cold weather, I have zero complaints.

WOW. I traded in my GBB driver for the AI Smoke Max D Fast Driver but I found it was just too light, and I just did n't hit it as solid as I had hoped. After speaking with the Callaway rep, I swapped it for the AI Smoke Max D Driver( not ultra light- more normal weight) and I LOVE it. I have hit the longest drives I 've ever had on my local golf course. I typically have a fade so thought maybe the 'D' would offset that and make my drives straighter. It is fabulous and you can adjust it as well. I did n't really think a driver would make that much of a difference but this one definitely does. Amazing! Got my new quantum mini 13. 5 driver today 3/30. after playing the playing the two prior generations you guys nailed it on this one. I always liked my AI SMOKE, but it was a little fade biased for me and then the Elyte spun way too much for me even lofted down to 10. 5°. I decided to go with the 13. 5° this time to complement my 9° quantum TD Max driver and could n't be happier. Dropped it to 12. 5°&+ lie. The ball flight is way more penetrating the spin is much lower& fast! Multiple 25+0y carry drives which is all I really want/need outta a mini. Plus it's WAY easier off the deck too! I had 2 off deck fairway long par 5's carry over 230+y. the new hosel Qotifir4, I will have to say needs to come with some instruction sheets. It's kind of a pain/confusing at first however, I love being able to separate the loft and lie. It worked out great really really happy with this new Mini I would suggest one improvement; the head cover is way too tight. It's really not fun getting it on and off at the tee box. It's way too tight for the head.

I ’ m really happy with the Taylormade Qi4D, after a fitting and trying several different drivers and shafts, the Qi4D with a blue S flex works best for me. I ’ m 67 years old, 6 ’ 1 ” 210lbs. Swing speed between 94- 98. I ’ ve gained 10- 15 yards and a much tighter dispersion with the Qi4D( was using the Qi35, RBZ before that). Get fitted!!! It gets you into the right equipment!!

I was struggling with a slice with my regular driver for a while. Not with this. You might sacrifice a few yards but better to be in the fairway than a few extra yards in the woods. Being 2 inches shorter helps with control and confidence. Worth every penny.

When it comes to woods, Callaway has always answered. They did it again with the Mini. I am a 4. 5 80 year old golfer. I can hit this club further than my 3, but better accuracy. To start, I just started golfing this year back in January. I ’ m already getting down to about a 15 handicap shooting around 85 from the blue tees which are championship tees at some courses or 1- 2 tees in front of those. Just went to get fitted for drivers because I ’ ve been using a 20 year old R7 Taylor Made driver and it just isn ’ t doing the job. Dispersion is wide and I have an extremely high spin rate with it. Tried a ton of different drivers, shafts, and setting and this one was BY FAR the best. Average carry distance was 255 and total was around 280. The dispersion was 23ft and was hitting tight, baby draws. I see this driver says the forgiveness level is low, but this was super forgiving for a new golfer like myself and the spin rate was 2, 500. Bought the driver immediately and can ’ t wait to see how it goes this week on the course!

I love my Pings. I got to use them a few times before the cold weather set in. I would love to find someone to help fit them to me and make weight adjustments. If I was to complain about anything it is the grips. When I pull my club out of the bag I slide my hand down the shaft to the grip. My fingers will catch on the grip and flip the grip back a little. I can see that tearing after a while. I will probably re- grip them. It kind of gave me the feeling they cheated out on the grips. That is the only thing that disappointed me seeing this is the most I have ever paid for clubs.

I played the G430 Max for about a year or more and switched to the G430 SFT. I found it more forgiving. I turned around and bought the 440 Max because it had a draw setting not present in the G430 Max. I returned it after a couple of weeks and exchanged it for the G 440 SFT. I have been extremely pleased. Although I play a draw and do n't slice too often, I still like to eliminate the potential. I do n't necessarily need to or want to `` work '' the ball and if I know my drives are going to go straight, slight draw or at worse weak fade, that works for me. The G 430 Max and G 440 Max definitely allowed the occasional slice.

I was fitted with this driver and although it was a bit pricey I gave it a go! I love this driver. My shot grouping on the simulator was tight as well it was on the golf course since I had the opportunity to play 2 rounds with it. Not one tee shot with this driver went out of bounds. On the simulator, I did n't register a lot of distance but knew with the grouping this driver fit my game. It's not always distance needed to focus on but for it to set you for that approach shot just had me blown away. I knew I would work it out to get the distance I needed and it did. I ended up increasing my loft to 12 degrees and the weight set at full draw+ and abracadabra! I am getting my distance back and finding the fairway! Will did a great job of having me try out many other drivers but this driver fit my swing and fits my game. I am grateful! It was money well spent in my bag because I can confidently get off the tee box with this driver! Quit worrying about distance and look at your grouping. Once you are pegged with this driver, you 'll get the distance you need and will be able to stay on the fairway! What more can an amateur golfer ask for? The Ping G440 SFT is a great fit for this golf who once slices but now has a power fade to a draw! The forgiveness??? I could n't ask for better forgiveness on any other driver because this driver proves it! I 'm ready to give this a go on my Sunday golf team!

Did a fitting and liked it but that day my swing was a bit off. Bought it and practiced with it in a simulator for a few days. It's very easy to hit straight and get the clubface closed. Seems like it would be well suited to slow swing speeds because it's light but I struggle to get much distance from it. I ca n't give it less than 5 stars because it's a great fairway finder and I know it's capable of good distance. But I may need something a tad heavier in the head to give it some power.

I first bought the G440 Max Driver and I lost significant yardage compared to my Elite Triple Diamond, like 30 yards. Then I bought the G440 LST 10. 5 and I really like it. I hit it within 5 yards of my Triple Diamond but it's much more forgiving. My swing speed is 97- 100 mph so do n't listen to the reviews saying this club is for fast swing speeds. I have a Fujikura Velocore+ Red 50 Stiff shaft playing at 45 1/4.

I got fitted for this after playing G425. I originally got fit for a 50g stiff red Denali, cut down a half inch with a 9 degree head. But when I got it felt different than fitting, too stiff, hard to launch. Returned and ordered a Calloway quantum with red denali, after after waiting just under 7 weeks called Callloway and found out it would be another 5 weeks at least, I could n't take it, went back and my guy at Dick's was very understanding and said that was unacceptable, he knows I play everyday. Went back to G440 but this time I used my own specs, 60g regular flex, 10. 5 head. The 60g is slightly stiffer than 50g regular like an R+, and the head weight went from D3 to D4 which it states on Ping website, and kept standard length which for that shaft is 45. 5. I love it, can launch at will but still keep it down if I want or need to and the head weight gives me a much better feel. I 've been playing a cut down driver for 10 years for control, head always felt light. This feels natural and great and the length is n't a problem either, finding strike as well or better than cut down, with extra length. Saw a great youtube video on this subject where the guy gripped down an inch then 2 inches then cut an inch and cut 2 inches, very eye opening. Main points were his control did n't get any better as it got shorter and the feel changed for the worse. And he pointed out you 're going against the manufactures design when you cut it. Not saying you should n't cut down but not as straight forward as I thought. Bottom line really like this club and gained some distance not because of new club head or engineering, although I think the forgiveness is higher, but from shaft length. The 60g shaft is really stable which if I am losing speed from extra weight is made up for with stability and better strike.
