I bought the extra heavy duty steel ladder ball set( which was not in the store, so I order it through dick's. When it came in the mail all the parts was there. PRO; This is a true heavy duty set. The ladder is easily put together, the base is a little harder to do. The bolas that comes with it are soft rubber. Years ago I bought my first set of ladder ball from Mananda and I 'm still using the some ones. The only different between the set that Dick's has in the store and the one I order is the weight. The in store one 14 pounds and the one I ordered is 22 pounds. CON; The first time I tried to assemble one of the base unit to the upright, it would n't fit. I checked the other 3 and they all fit. each base unit has an insert in it. I remove the insert and notice that both of the cutaways on each side was not the same. Some how it was manufactured wrong. So I took a grind stone and a file to it until both sides were even, then it fit just fine. When I travel I just put the base units on the ladder part and play. The holes that the knobs go in also I drill a hair bigger so the knobs would go in and remove easily. My next problem that developed( after playing a game) was the inserts in the bottom of the uprights, which the knobs screw in to and hold the base in place. When I tried to unscrew the knob, the insert( which is press on) become lose and I could n't remove the base. After about 20 minutes, I manage( by twisting the base back and forth) to remove the base unit. To solve the problem, I drill through the insert of the upright and out through the other side of all 4 uprights. I ended up buying 4 eye bolts, washers and wing nuts. Now I just place the base units on the uprights and place the eye bolts through the upright and the base units and apply the washers and wing nuts. This works perfectly. Would I buy another one?, I certainly would.

The frames of this ladderball set are sturdy. The rope- balls are good quality too. It comes with a decent quality storage bag, but we do n't use it. We keep it assembled, nest the bases, and store it against a wall in our game room so we can play a quick game at a moment's notice. Our favorite thing about this game is that all members of our family, from ages 7 to 45, can play and have fun.

I found this at Dick's, and it was an easy choice. It is a very good product. Solid, easy to assemble, and portable. It's perfect for our needs. [ This is such a fun game to play at home or anywhere! It ’s so easy to pack up and bring along with the carrying case and how well it folds down. It is easy to put together and takes about 10 minutes or less to set it up. It ’s great for most ages and both my husband and 7 year old love playing it! When we have family over they ’ re all asking to take it out to play! The materials are great, it ’s a nice solid metal that is very sturdy and doesn ’ t shake around during play like other less sturdy versions we ’ ve had to play. The bolas are great quality as well. It ’s easy to keep score with the magnetic score keepers on the sides and it ’s very easy to store the bolas with the provided slots. My only complaint is that after playing a few times, the small magnets in the score keeping sliders did come out of the plastic piece so we had to glue them in, but once they were glued they were flawless and it doesn ’ t affect the play at all. The magnets are made to slide so as long as you ’ re sliding they don ’ t pop out. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a fun game to take to the beach or take out during a cookout!
