Was excited to try this bag out from the moment they announced it. Even more excited to use it now that I own it. I threw a 15 lbs kettle ball in to test it and it does well to distribute that weight. The tension I usually feel on my shoulders was minimal to nonexistent. My torso is 17 '' so I purchased the S/M size expecting it to be on the shortest setting. I found I needed to have it just under the longest setting to fit me correctly with the middle of the hip belt on my iliac crest. I think you might be able to squeeze into this pack if your torso is 19 '' maximum. Easily the most comfortable pack I have tried on, very happy with my purchase.

I 've had this pack for 4+ years now. I take it on a couple backpacking trips a year on average and some day hikes where I 'm carrying more than normal. It's always fit everything I need. I 've carried a large tandem packraft and paddles with it( alpacka forager). I 've hiked 30 miles of the Kesugi Ridge Trail with it. The most notable use I think was for a caribou hunt I did a couple years ago on the Denali Highway. I packed out a cow caribou including all meat and 4 quarters bone in and the hide with my other knives and day pack type gear 5 miles down a mountain side and back to the parking lot via the trail. Roughly 100lbs. No buckles broke or came undone under tension, no rips, straps worked well to keep the load secure and close to my body. It only creaked and groaned a bit under that load, but otherwise performed well especially for not being a hunting pack. I would buy again!

Great bag. Great size. I bought this bag to replace another 40L bag I had for work and daily use. I was looking for a bag that had plenty of room in a main compartment, while also being able to hold a laptop and smaller items( pens, small tools, notepad). This bag fit the need great. I recently traveled across the country with it and it held up great. The straps and back panel make it comfortable to wear, the roll top makes throwing and grab large items easy, and it did well holding up to a light snow flurry while I was out( though I feel the material would struggle with a heavy soak). I bike commute and found this bag to be useful even to throw a few groceries in on the way home. Overall if you 're looking for a good size do anything bag this is a good fit.

This is a great pack. I am a big guy( 6 ’ 2 ”, 275) so I do wish I would have gone with the Stout 70 plus, but it is still a great pack. Sits on the back well with plenty of adjustments available. Took some time to get dialed in, but once I did, it was very comfortable.

Used this pack over 3 days and 30 miles summitting King's Peak in Utah. I purposely packed more luxury camp items for a total pack weight of 30 pounds. At that weight the pack was the most comfortable and least sweaty of any I 've ever used. I nearly purchased the pro 55, but some of the features of the standard 58 really make for a more comfortable journey. I can always do the top brain and shave 4- 5 ounces, if desired to get within 7- 8 ounces of the Pro and hit the trail with far more comfort in the shoulder straps, hip padding, andplaces to lay my trekking poles.

Ordered this backpack for my 8th grade son online because this backpack was not available to purchase in store. We received our order quickly. Everything looked good with the exception that 5 of the 7 paracord zipper attachments were missing. Normally it would not be an issue but the zipper pulls are pretty small so it would have been nice to have the paracord attachments that they are supposed to come with. I 've been using my Zulu 65 for the past few months... some late summer& fall backpacking trips and winter river trip. It's one of the most comfortable packs I 've used before, and it has great pockets for side gear and wallet/phone/keys access. [ I am pretty impressed with this pack. I have a few very high end hunting packs and they always seem to cut off some hip circulation. With a 3 night off trial campsite this pack was fantastic! I was skeptical but this pack performed very well. I really liked the U- zip access, huge hip pockets, and the side pockets that I can grab a waterbottle from while wearing the pack. A couple of things I did n't like: those huge hip pockets left no room for a bear spray holster, there is no way for the lid to double as a separate pack for little jaunts from camp, and the hip belt was maxed tight on my 34 '' waist in the Med/LG frame choice. [ We just got hit pretty much back- to- back by Helene and Milton, and this made a great go- bag to evacuate from the hurricanes! It ’s very well built and easy to carry, there ’s plenty of room for evacuation essentials, and all of my stuff stayed dry! All sorts of camping and survival supplies are very popular here in hurricane country — even though I don ’ t know of a single person who actually voluntarily goes camping around here! The only thing I wish I could change about the bag is the color! I really wanted a hot pink, or at least a bright neon orange or yellow! Still, the red and yellow is considerably more visible than the basic black. I received the correct item, in good condition, in a decent amount of time. The packaging was frankly ridiculous, though! It ’s very flat and took up minimal room, even without rolling it up – so there was no reason to send it in a massive cardboard box the size of a golf bag, for goodness sakes!

I like the white interior for finding gear and the quality of the bag seems durable overall. The straps themselves aren ’ t the most comfortable when your bag gets heavier but for my portages I ’ m never wearing the pack for much more than an hour between paddles. I would personally prefer a bit of extra bulk and weight if that was the compromise to have a slightly more padded shoulder.

6/22: had the Sirrus 24 for years. liked it. Compression- fratured lumbar region early spring. Feared hiking days over. stubborn but realistic: Had to carry pack light and high. Wore same clothes daily, hat, pricey poles. Tied jacket around waist, saved pack space for tent, food, water, rain gear, navigation, first aid, sleeping bag n cooking gear. There was other stuff inside bag, but I forget. Was able to carry light even with food. This pack solved my weight fears: helped me keep all under weight, not stressing back. [ We just got hit pretty much back- to- back by Helene and Milton, and this made a great go- bag to evacuate from the hurricanes! It ’s very well built and easy to carry, there ’s plenty of room for evacuation essentials, and all of my stuff stayed dry! All sorts of camping and survival supplies are very popular here in hurricane country — even though I don ’ t know of a single person who actually voluntarily goes camping around here! The only thing I wish I could change about the bag is the color! I really wanted a hot pink, or at least a bright neon orange or yellow! Still, the red and yellow is considerably more visible than the basic black. I received the correct item, in good condition, in a decent amount of time. The packaging was frankly ridiculous, though! It ’s very flat and took up minimal room, even without rolling it up – so there was no reason to send it in a massive cardboard box the size of a golf bag, for goodness sakes!

I like the white interior for finding gear and the quality of the bag seems durable overall. The straps themselves aren ’ t the most comfortable when your bag gets heavier but for my portages I ’ m never wearing the pack for much more than an hour between paddles. I would personally prefer a bit of extra bulk and weight if that was the compromise to have a slightly more padded shoulder.

Fits comfy and the pockets are located in great spots. Does n't feel cheap and has yet to cause any issues for me. Would recommend getting a front pouch for snacks to go along with this just cause reaching into the bag while walking is not that easy. The first time putting this one on, fully loaded, for a 5 day backpacking trip, I realized what a game- changer it was. Originally I was concerned going down in size by 5L, but all the pockets and stash points make up for it. Just got this pack as a replacement for my very old and trusted Arial 75. Despite being a guy I got the women's as my last one was a women's and it fit me so well. I am 5' 7 '' '' and 155#. Super comfortable and easy to adjust. I have just used it so far for day backcountry skiing. It easily synched down to a small size and was narrow with no wobble for skiing in the trees. Lots of pockets, I especially like the double pockets in the lid for sorting small stuff.

It carried the 40- 50lbs well, the hip strap with the wire takes a lot of the weight off the shoulders. It has lots of adjustability and many pockets. very good quality pack: well made and very adjustable. The only thing I would change would be would be the bottom to be slightly larger. I love the zippered panel on the back that allows you to put the water bladder inside with ease.

This is my second Gregory pack for shorter 2- 3 day excursions, especially in winter, for which the Targhee 45 is designed with ski and board straps. It works fine in summer, too. When I got it, I loaded it up with 60 lbs of weights and trotted up and down the steps at Red Rocks here in Colorado. It's a really wonderful feeling when you 've found a great pack, like a great friend, which they are, like my Gregory Expedition that I 've had for over 20 years. With the summer sales going, I got the Alpinisto 35 for my gf in crevasse blue. She's a bc girl and really likes it even for short day hikes. It's also a snowpack for 1- 2 day excursions. Our Dynastar Cham 107's fit fine in the straps with tech bindings.

[ I put my snowshoes on one side and tent on other and the helment strap was great to hold my food for an extra benefit and the best part is the protective strap for your water bladder hose.

[ Bought this for backcountry ski trips and shorter mountaineering trips. Wonderful bag with lots of options. Good amount of storage with BC equipment section( shovel, probe, etc.). Has nice carry features for ice axe, skis, and more. Only complaint is the helmet strap pouch. The zipper/pouch has to remain open while your helmet is carried on the backpack.

This is perfect for taking your party on the road. It fits the 64 oz pitcher perfectly. Carried it and lunch and mixers in to Indianapolis Motor Speedway for the Sonsio Grand Prix. Easy to carry. The straps allow you to load the sidekick with equipment needed. There is a cool little strap that goes under the sidekick to allow you to carry your blanket.

Have been waiting quite a while for the Rescue Red to come out in the soft- sided coolers. Have many other Yeti products and this one is no exception. [ Very excited to use the Atmos AG LT 65 on the JMT this summer! Pack Fits well I am 5' 9 '' with a 19 inch torso and the SM/M is a perfect fit for me. I took it on a trip to Texas as a checked bag. It's a lot comfier than what I used to use in the Marine Corps! I 'm also using it for my 40x40x24x40x40 in celebration of my fortieth year of life. 40 lbs for 40 miles in 24 hours every day for forty days repeated every forty days.( I just turned forty. 😉) I don ’ t recommend loading anything heavier than 40 lbs in it unless you want to feel the weight. [ Been doing intermittent 3- 7 day hikes along North Country Trail. Decided my back country hunting Kifaru Pack was just too heavy for just a week of trail use. Wanted the lightest pack that still had good straps, belt and suspension system. Went with Osprey because of their reputation and couldn ’ t be happier. It drops almost 5 pounds off my other pack just by switching. The suspension system and straps are second to none. If you like( or can get away with) a single opening and compartment main bag this is it. I tried out lighter packs but once loaded up with 20+ lbs of gear their straps and hip belt were much to be desired. This bag just floats on you back making any load “ feel ” 5 lbs lighter. It is ideal for 20- 40lbs loads. If you are packing lighter maybe look at an ultralight, if carting much over 40 pounds look at the sturdier/ heavier options. Everyone else THIS is the pack. At 4 lbs even on my scale for the l/xl it is lighter than almost any other pack in its class. It is almost in the ultralight realm. Fit for LG/XL was square in the middle of adjustment( I am 6 ’ 2 ” 210 lbs, and have longer legs slightly shorter torso compared with men of similiar height). Great BUY! Great Bag! Carries perfectly no one does the 2, suspension system and hip belt like Osprey.

They are super easy to attach and added so much comfort to my Kanken Mini. If you are going to be using your bag everyday I highly recommend these. As someone with chronic pain these shoulder pads really did make all the difference. And the quality of them is incredible. I know they are going to last me a very long time.
