The color is neutral and these fit true to size. If you wear thick socks, size up a half size. Otherwise your normal size will work. They have great traction so I don ’ t anticipate busting but butt in the snow. These are built to last so I ’ ll have them for all inclement weather for years.

I imagine like most Sorel boots these would wear well but I found the soles were really stiff and the boots were slightly wide for my feet, so I returned them. Because I never wore them in wet weather I 'm not sure how waterproof they actually are but the sole and lower portion of the boot seems well insulated for precipitation.

My qualifications for boots this year were 1. waterproof, 2. comfortable, 3. stylish. I walk to work and needed something that could get me there and back, and something that I could wear the whole day. These did the trick! One note- the first time I wore them, my feet were dry but the backs of my calves were soaked! I was flicking up water when I walked. I tried slowing down, and the 2nd wear did not make my legs wet!

I love these; this is my second pair! I still wear the first that I bought at least 4 years ago. I wanted a newer pair for going out and will wear the older pair around the house and for casual errands. The black is a perfect color for me. I can wear them without socks if I want. I had a pair of Muckmaster boots and they lasted for 4 winters of daily dog walks, maintaining their waterproof quality even after the sole of one boot started to come away. My wife bought me a pair of these Arctic Sport boots and apart from the logo at first sight they appear( and fit) identical to the Muckmasters. The extra thermal protection does not change the fit. Construction quality appears to be very good with the same excellent materials. Hoping for some snow now to really test them out!

These are the warmest boots my husband has ever worn. We went ice fishing yesterday in 30 degree weather. His boots had his feet nice& toasty warm. Great shoes. Got them a week ago for a work trip, and have been wearing a lot since. Super comfy. Not a painful breaking experience. They do get warm, on a plane I switched to some lighter shoes, but in Idaho in the 30s walking around and working in a warehouse they have been perfect. Not sure if I ’ d go hiking with these. I think of them as a great fall winter city boot

I wear a 13 and ordered a 13 despite the recommendation to up size because i could n't find a 14. They fit fine for me. I wear them with the laces as loose as possible and put a knot outside the eyelet instead of tying them, and they feel very comfortable. I get compliments from women every time I wear them. I live in MN and wanted something waterproof, but still stylish. These boots are perfect for going out on the town in winter.
