These are insulated work gloves. I do n't know that I would say `` high dexterity. '' However, they kept me far warmer than my unlined cowhide gloves with about the same dexterity. I would buy again. In fact I will buy again, because I gave these away to someone who needed them more. The durability is good. The leather palm is thin and wo n't last forever. That's the tradeoff, I suppose. They are washable. I got them good and muddy a couple of times and hand washing returned them to great condition.

[ I have only used these once for a sport climbing trip outside of Austin. I 'm 6' 5 '', but do n't have enormous hands and found my size large gloves pretty snug. These are my new favorite belay gloves! I take them up on the wall when I 'm doing multipitch climbs and also to the sport crag. They are versatile and generally awesome! I did get some holes in them after some usage, so be aware the durability is an issue, but I really have n't found a glove that's both dextrous and durable. Belay gloves put up with some serious abuse, so I 'm not really sure what's reasonable to expect.
