Got this rod on sale around Christmas. Have been fishing with it a number times and think it's great. Ordered it online and it was shipped directly from Lew's perfectly wrapped. Caught a number of small bass but some medium sized ones but also a monster that had to weigh more than 8 lbs. It has handled everything perfectly and the rod is still perfectly straight. Regardless of the price being so cheap at 60$, it handles like a 150$ combo I just recently snapped mine but ive owned it since 2018 and have landed many many big fish on it. I ’ ve caught many bass over 4 pounds, big pickeral, big crappie, even a 10 lb catfish and it held up to it all. The one thing that got to it was a log in which I pulled back too hard and snapped it( I ’ m pretty sure I had damaged it previously to that moment) so with that being said it was my fault not the rods. I plan on buying another one that ’s how much I love this combo. I recommend it to anybody from beginner to experienced angler. I bought this thinking it would be an obvious upgrade to the fimesse shroomz weedless jig head, especially when using larger baits like the big TRD. After using both versions, I prefer the finesse shroomz jig head. I find that it's easier to rig with elaztech than this model and gets hung up less on brush etc. That being said, if the finesse size is out of stock but this one is available, I will buy again. It is a stronger hook and would see that being beneficial fighting bigger bass.
