The 36oz version is huge, but it keeps the contents cold whilst in direct sunlight and is a good quantity of water for us, for about four hours on the water. The magnetic aspect is ok for calm rivers and estuarys, but a mild bit of swell/surf the huge size of the 36oz would be knocked off. Smaller versions would probably be ok.
