I 've used different colors but yellow body with a silver blade and black with a gold blade( 1/8 th oz) seem to work the best for me in creeks and ponds. After that, all I used were these lures and caught all day long! I clipped an 1/8oz split shot on the lure right above the blade( making sure that the blade could still spin freely) to give me better casting distance with my spinning rod and it was just the right distance at just the right depth. I used a slow to medium retrieve method with nothing fancy and the result was amazing! There were several times in a row that I did n't reel in without a fish at the end of my line!
