The large cooking surface gives plenty of room to cook for family and friends without feeling cramped, and the independent burners make it easy to manage different temperatures across the griddle. Cleanup has been much easier than I expected. A quick scrape, wipe, and light coat of oil after cooking, and it ’s ready for the next meal. I purchased mine from Dick ’s Sporting Goods, and the entire experience was great. If you ’ re on the fence about buying a Blackstone, I highly recommend it. It has quickly become my favorite way to cook outdoors and gets used far more often than my traditional gas grill.

With a good oven thermometer you can find the sweet spot needed for high temp or warming. I flip it to the griddle side and get it it up to 600f and pop a pizza into a seasoned pizza pan and it cooks like a pizza oven. I 've even stretched thin crust right onto the cast iron.

I purchased my Deluxe BBQ Box a few weeks ago and I am very happy that I did. Our first test run was some simple cheeseburgers for dinner and they turned out amazing. The burgers cooked through to our liking and had some nice grille marks and remained juicy. Better than any BBQ grill that I have ever used. We were so happy we threw on more of them for lunches later in the week. We did some chicken the other night and it was delicious. Stayed moist and cooked through with no burns from an open flame. I am 200% satisfied with my BBQ Box. My only regrete is that I didn ’ t purchase the 2 burner BBQ Box. Also the carry bag works great and is a must have.

I am often guilty of associating price with quality. So when looking for a pie iron for motorcycle camping I bought a Rome pie iron for more than 2x price of the Coghlan ’s version, but found the 28 ” handles don ’ t detach so they wont fit in my panniers. I bought the Coghlan ’s whose handles unscrew and therefore fit in my panniers and they also make pies just as well as the Rome version. I ’ ve made fruit pies, chicken pot pies, pizza pockets, stew pies... very satisfied.

This will work well for you, if you realize how to use Cast Iron. It will heat slowly with the first pie and then probably burn if you do n't pay close attention. After that they will come out of the fire perfectly toasted and fairly fast. We had one as kids for camping with our family. It lasted over 40 years and one of my siblings has it now. I bought one for our family, so we could enjoy the same memories! Not very expensive either!
