It had plenty of pop out of the box. My son has used in about 8 games now. Still hitting great and holding up really well. Even the paint which is important to me because I resale them later. My son swings this a Meta, a Zoa, and a Hype fire. He is hitting this bat better than all of them and I ’ m not sure if it ’s because of having more pop or a more forgiving barrel. I would definitely buy it again.

The 2026 Louisville Slugger Supra(- 8) USSSA bat is a high- performance choice for elite youth players, delivering exceptional pop and a balanced swing that's hot right out of the wrapper. Thanks to its new APX Composite Technology and a massive 2 ¾ '' barrel, this bat offers an explosive trampoline effect and a huge sweet spot for a higher rate of solid contact. The two- piece composite design, featuring the VCX3™ Vibration Control Connection System, ensures a comfortable feel with minimal hand sting, while the eye- catching Neon Mint and Pink graphics help it stand out on the field. Overall, its combination of performance, feel, and design makes it a worthy competitor to other top USSSA models on the market, though its premium price and newness mean long- term durability is still being evaluated.

lex1213
My 9- year- old loves this bat! We did a ton of research and had him try out a lot of different types of bats as he was upgrading from a 27 to 29 inch bat for this upcoming season. He is a strong hitter but has an issue with casting. We found that he performs much better with a one- piece bat, and he was extremely confident with this Voodoo over the super trendy two- piece composite bats that everyone is purchasing right now. We let him have his pick of bats and he chose this one. Would definitely recommend this bat for the age range!

Junior big barrel baseball bats are designed to provide a larger hitting surface, which can enhance the chances of making solid contact with the ball. This larger barrel diameter can also help younger players develop their swing mechanics and confidence at the plate. Additionally, these bats are often lighter, making them easier for young athletes to handle and swing effectively.
Junior big barrel baseball bats are typically made from a variety of materials, including aluminum, composite, and wood. Aluminum bats are known for their durability and performance, while composite bats often provide a larger sweet spot and improved power. Wood bats, though less common for younger players, can offer a traditional feel and are often used in training.
Choosing the right size of a junior big barrel baseball bat involves considering the player's height, weight, and skill level. A bat that is too heavy or long can hinder a player's swing, while one that is too short may not provide enough reach. It's important to test different lengths and weights to find the best fit for comfort and performance.
USSSA certification indicates that the bat meets specific performance standards set by the United States Specialty Sports Association, making it suitable for competitive play. Other certifications, such as USA Baseball, have different performance criteria. Understanding these differences is crucial for ensuring that the bat complies with league regulations and provides the desired performance.
Junior big barrel baseball bats are designed to accommodate a range of skill levels, from beginners to more advanced players. Their larger barrel size can help newer players make contact with the ball more easily, while experienced players may appreciate the added power and performance. It's essential to select a bat that matches the player's abilities and league requirements.
When selecting a junior big barrel baseball bat for different seasons, consider the type of play and weather conditions. In colder months, players may prefer bats designed to perform well in lower temperatures, while in warmer seasons, lighter bats can help with swing speed. Additionally, the level of competition, such as recreational versus travel leagues, may influence the choice of bat.
