I had an old aluminum canoe that had been a great fishing canoe, but at 86 pounds I could no longer handle it. The Pelican Catch Classic 100 weighs only 58 pounds and slides easily on and off my truck. Plus, I 've already caught a lot of fish. I use a seat cushion that adds about 3 inches to the chair of the kayak and puts me up a bit higher. The kayak is great for about 2- 2. 5 hours of fishing. I have n't had it out in much wind yet, but it handles pretty well.

This is the second boat I have purchased after buying one last year for my son. The boat is highly rated and did a lot of homework before buying. We use this to fish back bay fishing and crabbing. It's a great stable boat and you get a lot for the price point. It's also easy to load since it's only 10 feet long making it a lot lighter than larger boats.

Took this out today for the 1st time. It performed very well. Had 14' kayaks before and this 10' plied the waters just as easily. The holes in the kayak were used to slip a rope through when traveling, making it easy to tie it down onto my vehicle.

I 'm glad I made the purchase!! I 've had it for about a month now and have had it out 6 times and love fishing from it. It's even nice to just paddle around in, plenty of room to spread out and get comfortable. Which the seat is very comfortable! The trolling motor mount is a great plus, that will definitely be utilized in the future.

This kayak is awesome! It is the most stable kayak I have used and I was able to stand and fish with zero issues. It maneuvers great and very easy to paddle. It has plenty of room for all your gear. It is light enough to load and unload it by yourself. It also has 2 built in wheels that make launching it very easy. I really like that it has 6 rod holders. The only downside is the way the outer rod holders angle, sometimes i would hit the rods while paddling.

I bought this a month ago and could n't be happier. I 've had other kayaks. This is a great boat, the seat is so comfortable you can be out for hours without back pain. It tracks better than most 10ft kayaks. Very stable, easy to paddle. If you want a great kayak without spending to much this is it. I 'm very happy it's going to be a great summer!!!

Got this kayak a couple months ago and I have used it twice. It is the best bang for your buck when it comes to the accessories( rod holders, built in tracks) plus having the comfortable seat. Little tippy at first but after getting out for a while it tracks well. I would recommend this to anyone who wants the best bang for your buck. I am going to try to put a trolling motor on it this summer. I am 6' 2 '' 230 lb so I might be over the weight capacity. No problems with the dry storage like other reviews. Ca n't find a better deal, plus the purple is nice.

It's easy to sit in, the seat is remarkably adjustable and comfortable. the padding is easy on the legs, and the footrests are simple to adjust. We love these kayaks! They are the first ones we have ever had and we like the features that they have. Waterproof storage comes in handy for our phones and keys. The straps on the back hold our life vests nicely. The reclining seatbacks are nice as well, except one of straps sometimes breaks free if you lean back to hard. Might have to fix that one. Otherwise we are very happy with them!

I bought a 8ft lifetime kayak for my daughters birthday( larger one, she grew out of her lifetime kid kayak) and only a display kayak was available, except a hook plug was missing for attaching the seat( water was getting into the inner kayak).. [ I have owned the Old Town Bigwater PDL 132 for 4 years now and can tell you, this kayak embodies the name bigwater and other all is an amazing platform! It's fast, agile, stable, adaptable, and very customizable. The drill plates are really nice! They allow you to add accessories that require drilling holes to mount that accessory but you do n't have to worry about drilling into the main kayak itself. But my favorite thing about the bigwater, the PDL drive in combo with that sleek, narrow hull! The Bigwater truly is a beast but can really get moving out on the water. I 've been able to pedal it, bow into the wind and still hit 4mph- 4. 2mph! That's great for a kayak! It's hull just eats waves too. The bow has a narrow point that is designed to split waves, make it easier for the kayak to keep moving through those conditions and I ca n't tell you how nice it is to have that feature being a trout troller up in the Rocky Mountains, dealing with wind waves, chop, and heavy wind. Other all, the Old Town Bigwater PDL 132 is the perfect kayak that gives you all of the features to be an amazing fishing platform but gives you that unique kayaking experience with it's narrow hull! I 'd always recommend the bigwater!

I have been out in saltwater with high winds, swells and can still stand on this no problem. I have had many great adventures and caught countless fish and made many new kayak friends. Purchased this last year. Very stable and easy to fish from. Navarre kayak makes mods to fix the issues this kayak has such a replacement rudder that is made of metal instead of plastic. Overall a great kayak. Just make sure you visit Navarre kayak Nick is a great guy and will help you set up this kayak right.
