My Keen canvas Howsers were getting a little worn so I decided to try a new, different pair. I liked the look and style of this shoe and as luck would have it they were on sale. I ordered my normal size 11. When they arrived they were just a tad too short. Keen makes it easy to return and I ordered a size 11. 5 and they arrived and fit perfect!! Note that these are a tight fitting shoe so getting them on takes a little effort but once they are on they are VERY comfortable. I like the material on these better than the canvas on the Howsers. I purchased these as an alternative to our beloved Keen Stingrays, which appears to no longer be available. My son, now 10, is particular about shoes, especially sandals and I was worried these might be too bulky and give blisters. We are huge fans of Keen Footwear and have been getting his sandals( Sea Camp) since he was 2 years old so we decided to give them a try. They are AMAZING! Flexible, lightweight, yet cushioned footbed like a sneaker. I 've had these Leikis for a month now and still love them. I wanted something for urban dog walks that would keep my feet dry in rain and puddles but with enough traction to handle light trails. Perfect for shoulder- season weather when it's wet but not yet cold enough for heavier boots. They 're lightweight and cushy. At the store, I compared these to the Versacore. The Leiki is more snug around the heel and arch, but the toe box is still roomy. The Leiki toe box also has more structure and kept its shape, while the Versacore would crease and press against the top of my toes with each step which I found annoying. I liked the lower heel height of the Versacore, but ended up going with the cushier Leiki which seemed to also have more structure for ankle stability.
