Fabric itself feels so soft, holding well after several machine wash. It's so huge that you can wrap around you few times. It dries your hair unbelievably fast. I bought 4 in two sizes and will buy more in the future. It does not stink at all after several use of lake or sea water. You may use it on the beach and sand or dirt do not stain it. My only wish is to have the hook( loop?) in the middle of the towel instead of the corner of it. I snagged one of these towels( hand size) as a last- minute emergency for the dogs as we headed to the beach. First use- dried off 125 pounds of dog with absorption to spare Bonus: I hung it over the back seat and it was nearly dry by the time we got home from the beach. Double bonus: does not trap sand.
