[ I bought these a month ago and I 've worn them almost every day since then for rides between 30 and 80 miles. They are very comfortable and the stiffness of the sole has eliminated some plantar pain I was developing with my old shoes. The only objection is that the velcro straps are just barely long enough( I have wide feet). The shoes fit my feet well enough but only with thin liner socks- I 'm not sure these will work well for cold weather rides given my wide feet( and need for thicker socks).

Much easier to hike- a- bike without the steal toe cleats like my old shoes too. Maybe less than stellar: Feels kind of bulky in the forefoot sole if you 're standing on rocks, but it's tolerable. I do n't notice it when riding though. Not sure how long the BOA system will last. It seems like I 'm going to pull it apart when I disengage it, but time will tell. I would recommend these. The sneaker is nice for rocky terrain if I have to hike a bike and I like having a comfortable sneaker to walk in for when I bike places. I do have to replace them about every 1- 1. 5 years because the sole wears out but I do get a lot of miles out of them. If you live somewhere with 90+ degree weather all summer, you know that most mountain bike shoes are not made for breathability aside from XC shoes which are in general better ventilated. These are a great option for hot weather riding. I think they could apply a lot of the engineering of this show to the hellcat pro and make a knockout trail shoe. The lacing is much more effective on shoes with flexible uppers than typical mountain bike shoes that have become like stiff plastic over the past 10 years. Runs long... I bought a half size down( 11 vs 11. 5) after trying my normal size.

[ After MANY road miles and many years on our original Pearl Izumi road bike shoes, my husband and I decided to replace our clips and shoes. Our only point of contention is that mine are cooler than his! The color and style is sweet with a muted gray and a little touch of orange. Everybody knows that orange is dope. It does n't hurt that they match my new Subaru, either. Oh, and the fit is perfect! Ride on, friends, and whenever you can be cooler than your husband, do not hesitate.

The shoe seems durable and is overall comfortable. The heel feels lose when I walk around, but is fine when I am riding.
