[ I bought this to camp by myself in my Nemo Dagger 2P. This cot takes up more than half the space in the tent. It would be difficult for someone else to sleep next to me, and two of these cots would not fit in this particular 2 man tent. I found that I needed to insert the long side poles in the cot fabric, then put that in the tent, before connecting the leg braces to complete set up. It would not fit through the door completely assembled outside the tent. As for the cot itself, it is very sturdy for my 230 lbs. stocky frame. The leg mechanisms operated very efficiently, and did not require significant force to clamp into place. Once together, it was plenty long enough for my 5' 7 '' height, but it was somewhat narrow, causing my arms to rest on the side bars while lying down. While that was somewhat uncomfortable, it was easy to roll over onto my side, and the fabric of the cot was very quiet while moving around. Setup is easy( after working out my senior moment of connecting the cross braces upside down, which will not work). When broken down, the cot fits easily in the compact case it comes with. I was planning to buy the extension legs, but after putting this in my tent, I realized that the increased height of the cot would not fit, as the walls of the tent gradually taper in as they come up from the floor. I have several Helinox products, and they are darn expensive, but worth the cost. This cot is far superior to the Go Kot that I have had for many years.

[ Was a little concerned with the price point and frankly, the weight penalty, but both of those concerns vanished the first night I was able to sleep on this cot. It is very comfortable even for a XL person such as myself... I 'm a side sleeper and I could n't believe how well this worked for me.. And I wo n't kid you.. As an `` older '' person I 'm beginning to appreciate my creature comforts much more so this was a nice addition to the kit. At 6' 1 '' I had no issues keeping fully on the cot. No dangling feet, etc. Note sure I 'd have it on a long trek where weight is a concern, but after sleeping on this a few nights, I might have to rethink this position... Nothing helps you maintain your stamina like a good nights rest. The ground is n't getting any softer for some reason... I could probably lose 2. 5 lbs somewhere in the bag just to keep this with me.. We 'll see. For very cool or cold nights, I 'd have a lightweight thermal pad on top of the cot. So many of the newer sleeping bags have soooo much less insulating material on the `` bottom side ''( for winter activities I use a 40 year old Alpine Designs down expedition bag with lots of material underneath me) and if there is a breeze or just cold air circulating around your bed site, that cool air can find it's way to your backside... Just something to block that chill would work fine.. I just happened to have a Therma- Rest Z- lite pad with me in case this cot failed!... I used it on two nights when the wind was stirring things up at ground level. When the winds were calm I did n't use the pad... That combination worked well... I might add one of my inflatables in the summer months but we 'll see... The cot itself is very comfortable and does n't need any additional padding unless you really want to go the all luxury route and want to carry that weight.. At base/fish camp, I 'd probably add something underneath me for sure. Great product and so happy to have it in the kit. Should these units( I purchased 2) suffer some failure due to quality, I 'll update this post. Cheers

[ Bought this after trying the Thermarest Mesh cot. No comparison. I am# 215 and was having hard time getting in and out of Mesh Cot and found it very unstable. This one is rock solid and significantly easier to put together.

[ Very easy to setup compared to others I have tried. Relatively comfy although some padding would be nice. Packs fairly small but probably a little big for backpacking. I did get the extra legs which is the main reason I chose this cost which makes it much easier to get in/out.

[ I love moto camping and a good nights sleep is essential for the next days ride. Unfortunately even having a high quality air mattress can only go so far. As I get older, rolling out of the tent is getting more difficult. I purchased the Helinox Cot One and found this to be more comfortable, faster set up and just as compact as my Exped 7 mattress. The really nice thing is being off the ground and able to sit up and get out of the bed. As a side sleeper I was also concerned about the comfort but I found it to be better. It's quite expensive however it will pay for itself in a very short time.

[ The travel size portable bunk cot is a great addition to any one that likes camping. Not only is adequate for camping but also for traveling. Its carrying bag makes it easier to transport. Assembly is fast, it's a great size that it fits anywhere. Making it comfortable enough for kids and also teens. Does not require much maintenance either. My child really enjoys laying down in it just for fun!

[ This cot is perfect for a kid that isn ’ t super tall. I would say 5 ’ 8 would be the maximum height, but if your kid is under that — this is a high quality cot that makes camping so much more comfortable. It ’s simple to assemble and the storage bag comes in handy for transportation and portability. It ’s really comfy and my kids sleep through the night on it. This is a great kids cot.

[ My daughter love this and she ca n't wait to use it on our trip to the river this weekend. We have a different style of cot we take but we hate it because of how hard it is to put together and take apart. I set it up myself in less than 5 minutes. The other one I would need the help of my wife and it would take lile 30 minutes. I 'll probably buy another one for me. Lol

[ This cot came nicely bagged up and easily assembled. The hardest part was getting the liner on but it was very easy to build. It does not take up much room when it is bagged up which is great for storage. My son is 9 and 4 1/2 feet long. He has a couple more years until his feet start dangling over the edge. It is lower to the ground so I am not nervous about him falling off. He said it isn ’ t the most comfortable, but after putting some blankets and pillows down, he said it was fine. We plan on bringing this to all our camping trips and out of town family when they come to visit with their kids. I would recommend
Lightweight cots are designed for portability, making them ideal for camping trips where weight and space are considerations. They provide a comfortable sleeping surface elevated off the ground, which can help keep you warmer and drier. Additionally, their easy setup and takedown features make them convenient for outdoor enthusiasts.
Lightweight cots are typically made from durable materials such as aluminum for the frame, which offers strength without adding significant weight. The sleeping surface is often constructed from breathable fabrics like nylon or polyester, ensuring comfort and ease of maintenance. These materials are chosen for their ability to withstand outdoor conditions while remaining lightweight.
When selecting a lightweight cot, consider factors such as weight capacity, dimensions, and ease of setup. Think about your intended use, whether for backpacking, car camping, or family outings, as this will influence the size and features you need. Additionally, look for cots with good reviews on comfort and durability to ensure a restful night's sleep.
Lightweight cots are versatile and can be used for various types of camping, including backpacking, car camping, and even festivals. However, their suitability may depend on the specific conditions of your camping environment, such as terrain and weather. For example, while they work well in flat, dry areas, you may need to consider additional support or insulation in rugged or cold conditions.
Key features to consider in a lightweight cot include its weight, packability, and ease of assembly. Look for cots with adjustable legs for uneven ground and those that come with a carrying bag for easy transport. Additionally, consider the cot's height and sleeping surface size to ensure it meets your comfort needs.
