These socks are amazing for skiing. I got a pair for me and my fiancé and we both were blown away with how well they worked. They are a little thicker but not much thicker than a normal ski sock. Battery lasts all day on the slopes. I ’ ve only had them on low and that ’s just enough to keep feeling in my toes on cold days. Went out with these the first time when it was- 20F wind chill and I was able to ski the entire day and not even think about cold toes. Wire is super well placed to go up right behind your ankle bone so no pinch points. Heats just on top of the toes so right where you need it most and you ’ re not standing on any wires. My hands always go numb from the cold below 15 degrees. I ’ ve tried top tier mittens and wool liners to no avail. With these mittens I skied all day at 10 degrees and two breaks and kept my hands warm. I used medium and low settings most of the time and still had half the battery left at the end of the day. I can ’ t wait to go again this week and see how they do in near zero temperatures. Definitely worth the price.

As a smaller woman I have smaller hands, but these are almost small enough for a child. The overall quality is fantastic, they heat up nicely and the cell phone smart touch works great. But the finger length is so short the fingers stop at my second knuckle. A little disappointed I can ’ t wear them as a true glove liner because of that since the measurements for hand size fits everywhere else.

As a kid, checking cattle on horseback, my toes were frostbitten. Since then, I have used EVERY kind of foot warmer known to man. I received the ActionHeat insoles with remote as a Christmas present. First of all, the instructions for pairing the remote that came with them were not correct. The first time I used them, I did n't realize the remote was n't working and my feet were way too hot. I tried the remote pairing process I found online for a different model and the remote worked as it should( pair one insole at a time while holding power button on the insole and light is flashing, push M on the remote). NOW, for the good part, just yesterday, it was 26 degrees here with the sun shining. I set the insoles on low around 2: 30 pm and went out to burn brush piles. The insoles were still set on low and going strong 7 hours later when I headed to the house at 9: 30 pm.
