I purchased these pants in both the zip- off and non- zip- off models for an extended trip to southeast Asia. Three countries and 30 days later these pants, like the others I have purchased over the years from Columbia have been impressive. They wear like steel surviving daily wearing where I sat, hiked, climbed in and out of long boats, tuk- tuks, taxis, busses, through remote villages, along muddy tracks, and repeated washing in sinks and the occasional clothes washers. The hot humid climate created a thermal challenge but wearing shorts was not an option given all manner of biting insects that carry a variety of nasty diseases. These pants are super lightweight and fast drying. Most stains came out in the wash and those that did n't, probably would n't come out of any fabric.

Really durable and comfortable working style pants. Unlike jeans, these have an extra section of durable fabric from the thigh down on the front to lengthen the time it takes to wear out the knees. Definitely tear resistance with the checker style stitching which is a plus. Deep pockets hold a full size smartphone. 36 ” waist is more for a person who wears a 34 ” as they do not stretch at all and will be tight for people who wear snug 36 ” pants.

I just visited London, walking 25k- 30k steps each day over the past four days. I wore these pants each day and have never been more comfortable! It rained on me, every single day while I was walking, and with no umbrella, the water repellant worked great. They are not water proof( neither is the jacket), so there were times when I could see that water had gotten into the material. But I never felt that I got wet, thanks to these pants and the matching jacket that I also wore on one of the days. I never leave clothing reviews, but after what I just put these pants through, and how well they have held up, they deserved a public 5 star recognition from me!

[ I recently had the chance to try the Nike Sportswear Club Woven Cargo Pants in the Black/Black color( HV1433- 010), and I ’ m genuinely impressed with the overall quality and design. The fabric feels durable yet soft, with just the right amount of stretch to move comfortably. The cargo pockets are perfectly placed and surprisingly roomy without adding bulk, and the ankle bungees are a nice touch for customizing the fit and look. The embroidered Nike logo is subtle but adds that clean, signature detail. For me, the only challenge was that my test pair came in a size too large, so I didn ’ t get the perfect fit I would have liked. After a wash the fabric becomes super soft and feels wonderfully comfortable. They are n't thin so they probably are not ideal for the height of a 100 degree summer but for all three other seasons they are* perfect*. They fit pretty loosely for an XL which is a plus. I like cinching the ankles because I like the sporty look I get. It 's brilliant how they have been able to design a way to keep the cinching elastic out of the way, whether it is loose or not. [ These pants are incredibly comfortable and great for inclement weather like rain, snow, and wind. I ’ d say they ’ re great for work if you work outdoors or in any heavy labor jobs. They have a “ swishy ” feel to them but it doesn ’ t not irritate my skin or anything. I ’ ve tried them on with thermal tights for the cold weather and it ’s just as comfortable. I got a size L, and I ’ d say the pants are true to size. They ’ re straight cut so they definitely give you a lot of leg room which is great to layer up for the cold weather. I think the design is pretty simple which I love. They have pockets on top and also one cargo style pocket on the side that ’s pretty deep. The material feels really smooth and nice although it seems that it may crinkle pretty easily maybe after washing. A steamer could fix that issue easily though. One thing I will say is that the pants are a bit long for me, and I ’ m 5 ’ 4 ”. If I wear them with snow or work boots, they look just fine. But they ’ ll drag on the floor if I wear them with any low cut footwear.

[ These are pants you could wear every day, with a slim fit and tasteful branding. The material is light but doesn ’ t feel too plasticky and thankfully doesn ’ t make “ swishing ” sounds when walking like some other similar pants. The drawstring waist is wide enough to avoid pressure points, with a chunky string that stays tied well. The pockets are deep enough that your phone won ’ t fall out when you kneel or sit and the mid- leg pocket is novel and holds a phone or wallet nicely. The ankles are straight with a wide enough opening to drape nicely over high tops without looking baggy. Fit around the hips is a bit more snug than other Nike pants I own but only a bit. If I could alter one thing it would be making them a bit roomier in the hips but that ’s just personal preference. For reference, I ’ m 5 ’ 10 ” and 190lbs with an athletic build. I wear a 32 waist in jeans and this medium pair of pants fit me well. I really appreciate the premium touches like Jordan branding on the aglets and eyelets, as well as the expensive selling materials and clean paneling and stitching throughout. On the whole, I ’ ve been very impressed with these pants and they found a place into my rotation as soon as I got them.

As always, the Smith Summit Pants deliver. This is my third pair, and I ’ ve owned every generation so far. The new version definitely runs larger — in previous generations, size L felt consistent across models, but this time L fits more like an XL from the older ones. The redesigned knee pockets are now placed more toward the front of the thigh instead of the side. I ’ m still getting used to this change and not sure yet if I prefer it, but the functionality seems about the same. I ’ m happy they brought back the snap button on the rear pocket — much better than the zipper from V2. The single- layer knee pockets are still a small letdown compared to the older double- pocket design. The added soft, stretchy lining on the inside of the waistband is a nice touch — feels great and adds comfort for all- day wear. Overall, still one of the best pairs of pants I ’ ve ever owned. Great improvements from last year. I liked the trail sender shorts from last year and these improve on the previous version in several ways. First, the best thing about the previous version is the ultra lightweight ripstop fabric and how well it performs in hot weather- the only comparable pants I ’ ve found in weight are the Patagonia Terrebonne joggers, and these are somehow feel even cooler in hot( 90+ F) humid weather. The new 2024 version feels like it has the same fit, but improves on some annoyances from last year: 1. The waistband is slightly elastic, which is more comfortable from previous near 0 stretch 2. The pockets are deeper and the zip pocket has been moved from the front thigh to the side hip. They are versatile in that they can be worn for business or casual. The fabric is lightweight and breathable and almost feels like they are water resistant. You do need to remove from the dryer and hang up quickly as they wrinkle easily. Very comfortable fit and feel like a pair of dressy khakis.
