I purchased these pants in both the zip- off and non- zip- off models for an extended trip to southeast Asia. Three countries and 30 days later these pants, like the others I have purchased over the years from Columbia have been impressive. They wear like steel surviving daily wearing where I sat, hiked, climbed in and out of long boats, tuk- tuks, taxis, busses, through remote villages, along muddy tracks, and repeated washing in sinks and the occasional clothes washers. The hot humid climate created a thermal challenge but wearing shorts was not an option given all manner of biting insects that carry a variety of nasty diseases. These pants are super lightweight and fast drying. Most stains came out in the wash and those that did n't, probably would n't come out of any fabric.

I just visited London, walking 25k- 30k steps each day over the past four days. I wore these pants each day and have never been more comfortable! It rained on me, every single day while I was walking, and with no umbrella, the water repellant worked great. They are not water proof( neither is the jacket), so there were times when I could see that water had gotten into the material. But I never felt that I got wet, thanks to these pants and the matching jacket that I also wore on one of the days. I never leave clothing reviews, but after what I just put these pants through, and how well they have held up, they deserved a public 5 star recognition from me!

[ I recently had the chance to try the Nike Sportswear Club Woven Cargo Pants in the Black/Black color( HV1433- 010), and I ’ m genuinely impressed with the overall quality and design. The fabric feels durable yet soft, with just the right amount of stretch to move comfortably. They are n't thin so they probably are not ideal for the height of a 100 degree summer but for all three other seasons they are* perfect*. They fit pretty loosely for an XL which is a plus. I like cinching the ankles because I like the sporty look I get. It 's brilliant how they have been able to design a way to keep the cinching elastic out of the way, whether it is loose or not. They have a “ swishy ” feel to them but it doesn ’ t not irritate my skin or anything. I ’ ve tried them on with thermal tights for the cold weather and it ’s just as comfortable. I got a size L, and I ’ d say the pants are true to size. They ’ re straight cut so they definitely give you a lot of leg room which is great to layer up for the cold weather. I think the design is pretty simple which I love. They have pockets on top and also one cargo style pocket on the side that ’s pretty deep. The material feels really smooth and nice although it seems that it may crinkle pretty easily maybe after washing. A steamer could fix that issue easily though. One thing I will say is that the pants are a bit long for me, and I ’ m 5 ’ 4 ”. If I wear them with snow or work boots, they look just fine. But they ’ ll drag on the floor if I wear them with any low cut footwear.

[ These are pants you could wear every day, with a slim fit and tasteful branding. The material is light but doesn ’ t feel too plasticky and thankfully doesn ’ t make “ swishing ” sounds when walking like some other similar pants. The drawstring waist is wide enough to avoid pressure points, with a chunky string that stays tied well. The pockets are deep enough that your phone won ’ t fall out when you kneel or sit and the mid- leg pocket is novel and holds a phone or wallet nicely. The ankles are straight with a wide enough opening to drape nicely over high tops without looking baggy. Fit around the hips is a bit more snug than other Nike pants I own but only a bit. If I could alter one thing it would be making them a bit roomier in the hips but that ’s just personal preference. For reference, I ’ m 5 ’ 10 ” and 190lbs with an athletic build. I wear a 32 waist in jeans and this medium pair of pants fit me well. I really appreciate the premium touches like Jordan branding on the aglets and eyelets, as well as the expensive selling materials and clean paneling and stitching throughout. On the whole, I ’ ve been very impressed with these pants and they found a place into my rotation as soon as I got them.

The new version definitely runs larger — in previous generations, size L felt consistent across models, but this time L fits more like an XL from the older ones. The redesigned knee pockets are now placed more toward the front of the thigh instead of the side. I ’ m still getting used to this change and not sure yet if I prefer it, but the functionality seems about the same. I ’ m happy they brought back the snap button on the rear pocket — much better than the zipper from V2. The single- layer knee pockets are still a small letdown compared to the older double- pocket design. The added soft, stretchy lining on the inside of the waistband is a nice touch — feels great and adds comfort for all- day wear. Overall, still one of the best pairs of pants I ’ ve ever owned. Great improvements from last year. I liked the trail sender shorts from last year and these improve on the previous version in several ways. First, the best thing about the previous version is the ultra lightweight ripstop fabric and how well it performs in hot weather- the only comparable pants I ’ ve found in weight are the Patagonia Terrebonne joggers, and these are somehow feel even cooler in hot( 90+ F) humid weather. The new 2024 version feels like it has the same fit, but improves on some annoyances from last year: 1. The waistband is slightly elastic, which is more comfortable from previous near 0 stretch 2. The pockets are deeper and the zip pocket has been moved from the front thigh to the side hip. This is a big improvement where your phone no longer barely fits in the pocket or runs up against your hipbone when sitting 3. The construction feels higher quality and more premium. Too early to tell on how durability will compare but definitely feels like it ’ ll perform better Very happy with all the changes made!

[ I received the Columbia Men 's ROC Tech Chino Pants free from Influenster in exchange for my honest opinion. I got them in black and they are a very good quality pant. They are versatile in that they can be worn for business or casual. The fabric is lightweight and breathable and almost feels like they are water resistant. You do need to remove from the dryer and hang up quickly as they wrinkle easily. Very comfortable fit and feel like a pair of dressy khakis. Great for work as they are very comfortable but also great for a more formal event as they can also look dressy if paired with other garments. They are a win, win in appearance and you ca n't beat the fit as they are super soft and comfortable. You can move easily in them and they do n't feel stiff like jeans.

I am able to move comfortably without any movement restrictions. The waist band is comfortable aswell, perfect fit with( I have a 29- 30 inch waist).
