I find the 7 ” inseam to be perfect for showing a bit of thigh but not feeling like it is too short that I need to pull my shorts down on my hips. They are a little bit low rise if you are tall like me. They could have a bit of a longer rise for us tall girls but they 'll do. I bought the pink ones because I wear this stuff for everyday wear, in addition to hiking and camping. I love the shorts, and LOVE the fit, but the fabric really does stain incredibly easy. I would n't purchase these in a light color because they readily absorb stains and will NOT release them. Now I ca n't even wear the pink ones hiking because they would get so stained I would n't want to wear them for daily use.
