I had seriously injured my leg 2 months ago and my physical therapist suggested I buy Asics, which I did. I 've ALWAYS been a Nike fan though but she said the soles were n't stiff enough. `` One '' of the multiple injuries was a badly broken toe which ca n't be fixed bc its too late. It will take a year to heal, I 'm told. In the meantime, every shoe I 've worn, causes pain... until these!!! I 'm SO happy. The only thing I would mention is that in 1s I had to get a half size larger than I normally wear in athletic shoes, in the 2s I could stick with my regular size, and in the 3s I have to get the 1/2 size larger again. Very lightweight with the right amount of arch support. Fairly easy to slip on and soft around the ankle opening. I would say they are true to size in comparison with other Nike shoe products. The shoes provide a snug fit and felt they had a great grip on various surfaces. These trail sneakers embody both of those fully. I wore these on the trail routes near my home and they full adapted to the uneven and sometimes slippery terrain. I 've worn them on dry runs and just after rainfall, and the footprint/sole of this sneaker felt like it grasped the earth well in both circumstances. The elastic ankle detail hugged my foot just enough for added stabilization. I could really feel the vibram sole and full cushioning which I prefer when trail running. I appreciated the non slip grip the laces had on the upper, they felt secure the duration of each run. But my main takeaway was the width of the sole at the ball of the foot. It really felt different compared to other sneakers I run on trail with. This felt like when my foot stuck the ground, it was fully connecting, giving me more confidence and security with each step. The shoe was comfortable and responsive all around.

I usually struggle finding trail shoes that feel supportive without being too tight, but these fit really well right out of the box. I also loved the overall design because it feels versatile enough for different outdoor activities. The bottom soles have a lot of grip, which made them great for trail hiking, uphill runs, and even climbing over rocky terrain. The cloth- like toe cover almost made it feel like I was running barefoot, but with enough protection and support. The fabric around the feet is soft, lightweight, and breathable. Compared to most hiking shoes, the traction on the bottom feels much lighter, which made it easier to pick up speed and do short runs comfortably. One of my favorite features was the ankle portion because it fits almost like a sock and feels secure without rubbing. What I liked most was how easy it felt to move in them. I was able to comfortably pick up my feet and transition into short uphill runs without feeling weighed down like traditional hiking shoes. Honestly, I wouldn ’ t change anything about the shoe. Even though it ’s not labeled as a wide shoe, it still worked well for my feet and provided solid arch support. My only recommendation would be to wear high socks and avoid wearing them barefoot. I made the mistake of doing a 2- mile uphill run without socks and ended up with blisters, so good socks definitely make a difference.

The toe box is wide enough for stability but not so wide the foot slips. The material is breathable yet durable. The heel area is supportive but didn ’ t cause blisters. Switched to Zoom Fly when the first edition came out. The 6 is an absolute game changer. First run out of the box ran about: 30/mile faster than my usual slog without trying to do so. My HR is commensurately higher, but my legs and body feel much easier. Just a tremendous shoe for forefoot or midfoot strikers- would not recommend for heel strikers. I am older and much slower than I used to be but I am enjoying runs more than I have in years.

I ’ ve only had these shoes for a short time, but so far I ’ m very impressed. I previously wore the Nike Pegasus Trail 4 GORE- TEX and loved them, so I was a little hesitant to try something new. The fit and overall feel are similar enough that the transition has been easy, with no significant break- in period for me. I have high arches, a higher instep, and toes that like room to spread when I walk. I also tend to notice pressure points and fit issues quickly. These shoes provide a nice balance of stability and flexibility without feeling overly rigid or overly cushioned. They feel secure through the midfoot while still allowing natural foot movement, which is important for my walking/running style. For sizing reference, I wore a size 8 in my Pegasus Trail 4 GORE- TEX and chose an 8. 5 in these. I ’ ve experienced no rubbing, hot spots, or heel issues so far, and they ’ ve been comfortable from the first wear. The traction and overall ride feel well suited for walking on a mix of pavement, road shoulders, and uneven terrain. My only wish is that there were more color options available when I ordered. [ At first glance when taking the Metcon 9's out of the box I thought for sure they were going to be too big. I was extremely happy once I put them on that I was wrong because I loved the color, design, and weight of the shoe. The shoe looks wider than necessary when you look at it( or maybe I 'm just used to more narrow looking shoes), but once it is on you realize that the shoe hugs your food just right and allows space for your foot to expand while moving. If you are more into the natural fit then this is the shoe for you. The heel is a lot more stiff than I 'm used to for Nike, but to be honest, I like it a lot better that way. The shoe holds on to your heel for next to no movement. The grip on the shoe is next level as well, I 'm in the mountains, we hike a lot on unsteady terrain. The soles on these shoes gripped everything just right. The fabric breathes, but will also get wet very easily, I would n't wear these on a rainy day or on a rainy excursion. Love the velcro flap on the tongue to hold the shoe laces in place! That's a nice touch I had yet to see in any sneaker design.

Since it is a waterproof shoe, you can expect it to be a little bit tighter obviously to help keep water out during rainy training days. I have trained with it mostly on the road, where the cushioning and responsiveness have made for a smooth, comfortable run. But what surprised me the most was how well it transitioned off- road. [ I got these in a size 7 in women ’s for 1 of 2 people that I knew could give me an honest opinion on them. It happened to be my mother who I gifted them to that works in a plant on her feet 8- 10 hours a day. As soon as she opened the box she absolutely loved the colorway she got as it can match multiple things as well as the style/look of the shoe. Once she got the shoe on foot she walked around the house and said she felt more bounce and spring in her step wearing them. She wore them to work the next day and when she came home she talked about how much her feet and back felt better after wearing them and all the compliments she got on them from co- workers who said they would be looking to get a pair as well. If momma is happy than I am too so I would give these a 20 out of 10 and recommend them to anyone that is doing any activity on your feet whether it ’s working on hard concrete floors like her or if you ’ re a runner, jogger, walker.

I was surprised to notice that some of the material is almost like the fly knit, woven with something sturdier. And the sole! It ’s not too thick for running, nor is it too thin to be unnoticed. [ Straight out of the box, the Nike Structure 26 has that wow factor. While its fun bright color is aesthetically pleasing and exciting to wear, it also helps during low light visibility conditions due to its Hyper Pink color and reflective areas on its sides. I am currently wearing it for daily activities, walks, hikes with my family and occasional runs. The underfoot has just the right amount of sink- in softness and rebounds smoothly. It is plush, stable, supportive, offers cushioning and is particularly comfortable. For this reason, I used it on recovery days as the breaking- in phase. The tongue and color have lots of padding which I am not used to but I consider them a plus. The mesh fabric is breathable and of very high quality. The fit is just right, true to size, snug enough to feel supportive and is becoming more comfortable with every use. I found the Nike Structure 26 to be more comfortable and natural than other running shoes that I own. Unfortunately, the outsole rubber in the Structure 26 is already showing some wear although it has good traction. The tongue could be a bit slimmer, but I 'm being nitpicky here. All in all, I love it and I got many compliments about its aesthetics. It's true to size, comfortable and has extra support and stability.

Slow and persistent
I just ordered my 4th pair of these. I love them and have completed several trail events ranging from 1/1 marathon distance to 50k wearing them. I even wore them when I ran the Chicago marathon last October, Honolulu Marathon in December and the Rock and Roll half marathon in Vegas in February- they were great on pavement too. I go through shoes pretty quickly, but these hold up well especially if you ’ re not a wrecking crew with your shoes, which I admit is a good description of me. I highly recommend them.

[ I have been looking for a good pair of shoes that could double as a casual pair and athletic pair for awhile awhile now, and the Brooks Launch 12 fits both. Putting on the shoes right away they felt instantly comfortable and I was able to walk around Christmas Tree Lane with my family with them. And then the next day I could put on my Launch 12's and run a 5k down Christmas Tree Lane with no issues. They are a good light- weight shoe that felt easy to run in. I normally like a stable shoe when I run a medium pace, and I felt that the Launch 12 gave me that. The shoes had a light bounce to them that made it fun to run in. Overall, I really like the look of these shoes on and when I look down at my feet. They are easy to get on and are a great shoe to just throw on to go for a run or just run errands. Whatever my day throws my way, I am ready for it in my Brooks Launch 12!

Putting these on feels like you are stepping into a solid sturdy shoe. I can sometimes experience knee pain in shoes that are extremely cushy, so I appreciated this! I often feel areas of the shoe that causes pressure points, but I don ’ t feel any pressure points with these. I like that it has the extra hole at the top for the laces to make the runners loop. They hold the sides of my foot snuggly enough that I feel stable on uneven terrain. They feel springy and bouncy when I strike the ground. I have loved both walking and running in them. They are fun to run in and have given me a little boost in my running and workout routine. The black are very dark which will be helpful in keeping them looking newer longer. These are super comfortable, cruisers with some responsiveness. I run 5- 6 half- marathon races per year and average around 30 miles/week for training, so I go through many shoes. These have become one of my favorite Adidas running shoes now- that means a lot because I have every Adidas performance line running shoes. I just got these last week and put in about 10 miles. I like the previous Rise 2, and this one is better in terms of comfort and shock absorption. The previous version was a bit firm but had a good energy return. I prefer Rise 3 much better as a long run and daily trainer companion.
