[ I have three of these shirts( 2 smalls& 1 medium) and they are excellent for sun coverage. The fabric is light weight and dries quickly. For reference, I weigh 123 and wear an 8- 10 or sm- medium in a shirt. This shirt runs a little large. The small fits best although the medium is not overly large. This is not a fitted style shirt. The pocket at the hip fits an ID and the chest pocket would fit a smaller phone but it does n't fit my iphone X.

I work for the Depart of Food& Ag and spend most of my day in the field surveying& inspecting insect traps. This shirt with the extra pockets near the waste is amazing. Easy click buttons are nice, BUT, they have unspaped a few times if the shirt gets caught on something. I suppose I would rather have the shirt buttons un- latch than have the shirt itself tear. It's also nice that the UPF is strong. Another complaint is that is holds wrickles a bit well. However, all n all, it's a great shirt o highly recommend.

Perfect length. All- season top that hits the mark on fit and comfort. Make more of these, please! As a petite- size person, most tops are too long. Not this one. I just need more colors. Two negatives-- stitching starts to unravel after a few washes in the machine. And the colors of the top are almost all universally awful! No prints or designs, please! No pastels, please! I now have two of these and will inevitably purchase more! I have a bit of a short torso so with highwaisted pants they align perfectly. I get very tired of so many women's tops going down so low that they get in the way of a harness, backpack, etc. This is perfect. It stays out of the way without losing coverage. Reviewing this from the POV of an end user& tech fabric geek. Love the materials of the MH AirMesh. Already have the hoody; just bought the crew. Agree w/ those who say it's very warm when at standstill or w/ a wind layer over top, yet while moving or with wind and no wind layer it's like being naked. To me that says the fabric is functioning precisely how a base layer shoulder. Only con is hypothetical: delicate fabric. I 've had no issues with snags, pilling, abrasion, etc. But I would n't be surprised were I to, given the softness of the fibers and the openness of the fabric they 're arranged into. Cut/fit are unremarkable w/ exception of the somewhat high neck hole and the different accent fabric used there. Packs tiny, resilient fibers bounce back into shape immediately. Most comparable to the Patagonia Cap Air wool base layer, minus the itchiness/roughness and the ultra premium price point. Also, like Polartec Power Stretch pro, but much lighter and more airy fabric, fwiw.

In the first image, it is very light and breathable, but the fibers inside seem to be easily lost, and there are some fibers in the hand after a little scratch. I am 167cm tall and my bust is 98cm, so I wear a size M which is very comfortable. I bought 2 at the same time, for me it should be good for sweating a lot without losing warmth. I tried wearing it the other way around and it was a different feeling, like a normal sweatshirt. A very special piece of clothing, worth trying. When washing, do n't turn it around, it's better to put it in a laundry bag

Love this shirt. Wear it all the time and have already ordered another one- so comfortable. If they eventually make a short sleeved version I 'll buy that, too. It's a great base layer and good for cool/cold weather chillin'. Be aware that there is zero wind blocking- it's a mesh fabric- you must have a shell if you 're hiking/skiing/walking to mailbox. That said- I 've hiked in 15- 20F with wind and just this base and a heavy shell no problem. Note: It's very `` roomy ''. Great for me, but if you 're a bean pole you may be swimming in it- think about that when selecting sizes.

Love this shirt. Ordered two colors, the forest green and the navy/orange and both look great. They are warmer than standard button ups, they wash well/ wrinkle free. Only had for a season but they seem to be holding up well and be crafted pretty sturdily. I will probably order another color this fall as they have quickly become my favorite flannel/button up type shirt. It does run slightly loose- Im 5'10 175lbs and the M fits perfectly relaxed- not tight at all( i usually like slimmer fit but this is classic) but not too baggy to where it looks big. So far Fjallraven has not disappointed( 2 shirts& 2 jackets) so I will likely buy more.

I love it! I am really specific about sun shirts because I live and work on boats and wear a sun shirt most days. Full disclosure: I have tried the Crater Lake and Sunshadow before this and really did not like them. The Crater Lake is 1) kind of soft and does n't breath as well as this one and 2) had sloppy sewing so the sleeve hem unravelled after a couple months of wear. The Sunshadow was low stretch and super restricting to wear and the fabric stained really easily. This* Sunblocker* is amazing. The fabric is super quick drying but not scratchy, the sewing is really neat, and the fabric is stretchy and not restrictive. I sized up from S to M and am glad I did. I personally love the crop. It still protects my whole back, even when I bend over, but is n't too long. Overall, I 'm really happy with it!

I have never worn a more perfect piece of clothing. I never imagined wearing long sleeves in hot weather while hiking. Hypothyroidism causes me to sweat profusely and embarrassement. After researching sun hoodies, I found the Crater Lake hoody. It was on sale, I bought it, wore it while hiking, it changed my experience... so I ordered two more!! Backpacked in Kentucky recently and the hoodies were a win for me. The material is thin and light, breathable. I purchased this used a few years ago and it has become a staple for hiking, camping, travel, and festivals. After the first year I cut the drawstring and tied it in a knot, much better and more practical. The light blue color stains easy. Sometimes this shirt stinks to high heaven after short use, other times I can wear it for days without stank. Washes easy and dries quickly. UPF continues to work after many years of regular use and washing, it provides protection from the sun and mild wind. It's so soft against bare skin and comfortable to sleep in. I use as a base layer, except when I use to layer over tank top when it's hot, or wool hoodie when it's cold. The pocket and zipper is great. No complaints.

I 'm 5' 7 '', 155 lbs, and fit some medium and some large according to how they are cut. This shirt was just a touch broad in the shoulders and very long in the sleeves and tail. Medium tends to be on the verge of too tight and large tends to be baggy. The Ovik twill in medium is a perfect fit. I 've tried quite a few MTB jerseys over the years, and this one is by far the best. It's lightweight and breathable, seemingly durable( have n't crashed yet, so I ca n't say for sure), and the UPF sun protection makes a black jersey feel cool even in direct sunlight. The sleeves are sufficiently long( I 'm 6' 2 '' and wear a size small, so this is often an issue), and I like that the cuffs are n't fitted. Having the integrated lens cloth in the front of the jersey makes it easier to use, but could stand to be a little larger.

I 've tried several sun shirts of different brands and majority feel clammy and make me feel hot in the sun. Not this shirt! The material is thin, breathable and very soft on your skin. I actually prefer the quarter zip version over the MH hoody due to the bottom hem design( hoody has a draw string at the bottom which I do n't care for). This shirt also has better neck protection for me since I always wear a wide brim hat when I hike and I would n't use the hood. And I really appreciate having quarter zip to allow more air through. I 'd love to have more solid color options.

First impression is that it ’s very light, very warm for its weight, and breaths very well. If weight is important to you, this is a must get. It ’s essentially the jacket insulation without the jacket, so if you want wind protection just add a wind breaker. For some reason I was expecting it to have some stretch to it, but it doesn ’ t really, which is fine once you know to expect it. The outer material doesn ’ t feel soft, but the inner brushed material does. Overall a fan of the material, curious if they could add some stretch though, or maybe that would compromise the fiber insulating structure? Other request would be to do a version with no large branding, I don ’ t mind large branding on a jacket, but having it on a shirt or a base layer is less desirable. Would recommend.

Hard to see in pictures but the inner lining is super soft almost fleece, so provides similar warmth as a wool sweater( thinner of course), and the design of the outer material allows for breathability. I have the patina green in medium size. I go on day hikes at least twice weekly and have this shirt keeps me as comfortable as possible even in 30° Celsius weather. This shirt stays dry as I sweat during my hike. If the weather starts to cool it is easy to put a fleece layer over this one. Lastly, I do n't put this in the dryer after washing as it can become completely dry in an less than an hour in my house where the A/C temperature is set to 20° Celsius. Overall I really like it and I will get a second pair to use when I do the Salkantay Trail in the near future.

This is an amazing shirt. Bought it for a Wilderness Remote First Responders course that was mostly outside. The perfect layering piece, the perfect amount of warmth under my jacket. Can also dress this shirt up.

[ Love the shirt. I 'm 5' 6- 130 lbs& ordered a medium, that fits perfect. I love the snaps, seeing I wear this as an added layer usually left open. Love how the check pattern matches from right front side to left Also pocket and sleeves. If you get this shirt you will not be disappointed.
