The front and side of the shoe is leather. The top of the front to mid foot of the shoe is a breathable mesh which transitions to a very high quality spandex/polyester material, this aids in the ease of getting the shoe on the foot. The band across the top of the shoes holds the shoe snug to the foot. The attention to detail is unmatched. There is a 1/2- 3/4in stretchy band that connects the leather on the outside with the leather on the inner( outside), this helps to hold true to the name FLEX runner. The sole of the has a surplus of grip, which is much appreciated in this age group, esp because they are forever running! Overall, I would give this shoe a 10/10, highly recommended.

[ I got these shoes for my daughter and it was love at first sight. Even compared to other Nike kids shoes we have tried, the quality of these shoes feel far superior. The fit is great and the material feels soft, yet sturdy and easy to wipe down. We tried these shoes on just to test the fit and my daughter refused to take them off — amazing for an almost- two year old! These are secure and we haven ’ t had any issues with awkward steps or tripping that sometimes happen with a shoe that is too wide or elevated. These are our go- to shoes and even hold up well to light water exposure( my toddler is a puddle jumper). I will happily recommend these to friends and family and may pick up another pair in the next size or another color down the line. Fantastic shoes!

[ The Nike Flex Runner 4 has been one of my favorite shoes since my daughter started walking. They are soft and comfortable for kiddos. The variety of colors they come in is awesome. My toddler uses them for every day wear to toddler soccer days. She will run to these when she rides her scooter. Seriously best shoes. Also, my daughter is always super proud that she can just pull them on all on her own. My toddler has a very slim foot and I always have issues with “ no lace ” shoes because they fit big width wise. But we have no issues with these. I do believe they they run a bit on the smaller side. I ’ ve always purchased these one size number up for her. I would recommend these to all parents. Great shoe all around. Oh and even though they are made of soft material, they are very toddler/kid durable.
