The size chart was not helpful. According to their chart I should 've been a 7 but they were took small. It would be great if they had these in store so I could try them on... I love the rainbow style but the laces are too short. I do think they are good basic skates. Especially for those who want more ankle mobility. Loosen the wheels and they ride smooth indoor or outdoors

Wheels are for outside skating not ribbed for indoor and sizing is off, I wear size 6- 6. 5 womens& size 4 is what fit, size 7 was huge even on a guy at the store that wore size 9 in mens!!! Super cute, but I did not keep them as I needed to buy new wheels& bearings for indoor rink use!!!

The wheels glide smoothly and feel supportive. The boot is comfortable and sturdy. The pompoms and extra strings are a nice touch. As stated, the wheels do light up when in motion. After searching through local sports stores, at the rink, big box stores and websites, we finally chose the Chicago boys rink skates for our 4 and 1/2 year old grandson. They are easy to get on and off, support his ankles, and glide smoothly around the basement floor. They are also suited for the indoor roller rink, which he will be going to soon for a party. He uses them to play roller hockey. Although the shoe is a vinyl, it looks and feels almost like leather-- too bad they still are n't made with leather. We purchased them two sizes bigger than he wears for growth. He wears long sports socks over his regular socks, and that works fine. I would recommend these skates over others that we found at big box stores.

It amazes me how much better you can skate owning your own pair of skates rather then renting them at the roller rink. My Grandsons skating improved 100% within one night of skating with these new skates. You figure the average rate to rent skates is about 4. 50 per night. These skates paid for themselves as far as I am concerned and they are comparable to much higher priced skates.

My daughter was given a gift card for Christmas and these skates were all she played with. They light up on the sides where the shiny gem stones are and the glittery colors pop! She's a 3. 5 shoe so we sized up to a 4 and they are perfect with thick socks. They seen to be a little lighter than the roller rink rentals so she has great control. Hope this helps!
