Amazingly light and easy to use. I pounded these into a really hard dirt surface and they did awesome. they held the angle that I put them in at which allowed me to get a very taut rainfly setup.

I am replacing all of my tent stakes- with the exception of sand and snow- with the Airpin ultralight stakes. These things are so light, yet sturdy and well designed enough to avoid bending when they 're being driven into the ground. The only downside is that they 're a little bit expensive- but they 're well worth it!

The stakes have stayed out and the design for securing the cord is clever and makes securing the tent quick and easy. Very lite weight.

[ Wanted ultra light stakes and these are perfect. Much more durable than some other ultra light stakes I 've had in the past. The 'notches' make for easy securing and tightening.

great light weight option, but still bent easier than I would have hoped.

I think they are the perfect answer to have a simple and lightweight setup for my MyTrail Poncho. ... Great idea- love the look, feel, weight, self locking mechanism.. but why only 6

Finally got my hands on the new Nemo Airpin tent stakes. I was mainly interested in using them in my Poncho tarp setup. I think they are the perfect answer to have a simple and lightweight setup for my MyTrail Poncho.

I purchased these for my upcoming trip to the adk and I am so happy I did. These are going to be a game changer!

Perfect for Ozark river gravel bars ... Robust, light weight and easy to find ... Due to their length and curvatures, you can penetrate very rocky ground as well as get a good hold in

Much lighter then I assumed. Have n't used thes yet but looking forward to my next trip when I may get the chance too.

For whatever reason, costs I 'd imagine, tent makers rarely suppy their tents with enough stakes or reasonably sturdy stakes. I 've always suplanted the supplied stakes with a set( or 2) from MSR. These are tough, and lightweight besides. I can now carry enough stakes to actually guy out the fly properly, even withstanding the ferocious winds we often get in west Texas.

I bought these stakes to anchor my Kelty Noah 16 tarp and they do the job as expected. They hold in windy conditions. At ten inches long and with the twist configuration they are great in soft soils but almost impossible to place in hard pack or rocky soil such as most developed campsite fill. Other stakes are more appropriate in those conditions.

I have gone through 3 tents with these stakes and still going strong

Bought these for a multi day trip with gravel bar overnights on the Current River. In the past used the basic stakes that came with my tent with less than optimal results. These hammer in the gravel, rocks and sand very easily, with a twisting motion as they anchor. Held the tent and rain fly extremely well and removal was no fuss in the morning.

Using these to hold down my gazebo in an area that floods on the regular, the ground is very wet. These have held through a month of snow, rain, ice and more so far!! I 'm thrilled!!!

I purchased 3 pop up tents and wanted to add an extra method of tie down during windy days. The tent pegs I purchased are longer than what is provided in the package and have a handy notch to aid in tying the corner rope securely. It is very inexpensive insurance for more stability.

I actually bought this for hunkering down and memorial to my grandma in the cemetery. It works perfectly and it's easy to pull in and out of the ground. I 'm very happy with it.

[ The MSR Blizzard Stakes are lightweight, easy to use, easy to pack, great stakes! ... I add stainless steel cable pulls to the end so removal from frozen snow is made

I bought them and I love them. They are so light and compact

The ribs on these really stiffen them up to handle all kinds of abuse. Amazing their strength given how light they are. You must try them out!

There are other similar snow stakes, but this is the best of its kind-- lightest, no burrs, and a little elegant.

I have used these stakes for several years now. The work great for snow and sand. One year I had an experimental ultra- lightweight tent out at Little Sahara. As many will attest, the wind can come out of nowhere and blow ferociously. The stakes held, but, sadly, the tent did not. I ca n't say enough about these.

Serious sand stakes with great holding power. Doubles as a trowel.

The mechanism to open and close this canopy is genius. It takes a minute to get the hang of it, but can absolutely be fully opened with legs extended in a minute, by yourself. More importantly, you can close it yourself( also very easily) in just seconds, and without needing to recruit three other people to help you like other canopies. This canopy is far better quality than any of the typical canopies you see at tailgates or soccer tournaments. It's heavier than other canopies, but it comes with a great quality bag with wheels which makes it easy to move. The straight- leg design means that you have a full 10 x 10 covered area as many other brands have angled legs which make the space under the canopy smaller than 10x10. This one feels much bigger than a typical canopy. I will be showing this off and recommending to all of my tailgate friends and fellow lacrosse parents. I got the grey color which is simple and neutral.

This canopy is incredible. We use it for youth baseball tournaments and everyone that sees it thinks it's awesome. It is absolutely the easiest canopy I 've seen to put up and take down. It is of better quality than any others also. Only thing that you will need to get used to is that is much heavier than others you may have used in the past, but that is due in large part to the quality. It would have benefited also from having tie points for the anchor system to tie it down but it is manageable. Be careful also not to drop it on the wheels when unloading as the pins that hold the wheels will bend due to the weight.

Hats off to the engineers at GCI.... The old days of 2 or four people pulling each corner of a canopy outwards are over. This canopy makes it crazy simple for one person to quickly set up a canopy without needing any support from others. Be ready to have onlookers impressed with your new rig. In the first week of owning this canopy, I was able to use it camping with my family and also at a Lacrosse Tournament. While we were setting up our tent, a quick thunderstorm was passing through. We quickly set this up over our tent to prevent rain from getting in the tent.( we did n't trust the rain fly on our tent). We also used this canopy as a sun shelter while camping. At the lacrosse tournament, this canopy stood out among the others with its stylish branding and blue color. The lax team and families were able to quickly find our home base under the canopy. This was our location for gear, drinks, snacks, and resting between games. The biggest challenge with this canopy is the expectation that it operates like canopies from the past. Knowledge and experience with past canopies and their design may impede upon learning a new technology and design. People will find that the Initial set up is very different. GCI created clever instructions and a great video to learn the new method. I 'm not someone to read directions so the video was useful for me. Once you 've learned the set up method... subsequent set ups are like riding a bike. Bonus features of this canopy are- Solid carrying case with wheels, handles, pocket for stakes and big opening for sliding the canopy in and out.- Robust sturdy framing- Double layer padded friction spots to prevent any tearing- Flick down legs for quick assembly- Stylish and robust canopy fabric- Air vents at the top to allow wind and air movement areas that could use improvement...- bigger wheels on bag would help with rough terrain but current wheels do alright- maybe a longer velcro pull strap on the canopy to wrap around the corner of the tent frame to get more adherence to velcro.- Would love it if there was an optional mosquito screen accessory All in all, I 'm loving this canopy... its a game- changer! I will never go back to the old style of canopies!

I could have bought a tent for 1/4th the price but this tent is so easy to put up and take down and the frame is so much more sturdy!!!! Well worth the investment

In a time where every ounce counts, the thought of adding the weight of a hammer seemed crazy, however I will never venture off out again without it. A fanstic product, extremely well made, well done again MSR.

This thing has some serious heft to it, which makes sinking those annoying, reluctant stakes into the ground surprisingly easy, and not to mention the opposite side of the hammer is perfect for removing stakes that are stuck in the ground. As soon as I picked one of these up for the first time, I knew it was time to upgrade. Much better than a rubber mallet and the fact it doubles as a bottle opener is a good plus. I highly recommend this hammer.

Davps2
Very useful, takes up little space in the bag/box, and not too heavy. I primarily car camp, but I would carry this on a short backpack trip. Much better than the rubber mallet it replaced.

Loved the feel, the look and craftsmanship of this multi tool.
Outdoor stakes are primarily used to secure various outdoor equipment and structures, such as tents, canopies, and screen houses. They help ensure stability and prevent movement caused by wind or uneven ground. Additionally, they can be used for anchoring tarps, securing garden plants, or marking boundaries in outdoor spaces.
Outdoor stakes are commonly made from durable materials such as steel, aluminum, or high-strength plastic. Steel stakes are known for their strength and resistance to bending, while aluminum stakes are lightweight and corrosion-resistant. Plastic stakes are often used for lighter applications and can be more flexible, making them suitable for various outdoor uses.
Choosing the right outdoor stakes depends on the specific application and the type of ground you will be using them in. Consider the weight and size of the structure you need to secure, as well as the soil type—hard or soft ground may require different stake designs. Additionally, look for stakes with features such as pointed tips for easier insertion and adequate length for stability.
Yes, outdoor stakes can be used in various terrains, but their effectiveness may vary based on the ground conditions. In soft soil, longer stakes may provide better anchorage, while in rocky or hard ground, shorter, sturdier stakes may be more effective. It's important to assess the terrain and choose stakes that are designed to perform well in those conditions.
When selecting outdoor stakes, look for features such as pointed tips for easy insertion, a durable construction material for longevity, and a design that prevents bending or breaking under stress. Some stakes may also have additional features like reflective markings for visibility or multi-use designs that can serve various purposes in outdoor settings.
