I purchased these stakes this summer and have used them extensively over the season. Summer conditions were relatively mild and I felt I never truly tested them. In my early use of the stakes, they were primarily used in gravel to loamy soil of the Sierras. However, this past weekend, I used them to secure my tent for a two night backpacking trip during a massive storm with strong winds. The stakes held up perfectly. They were used in hard pack clay soil which turned to a thick muck with the rain. The stakes held the tent and rain fly without budging. They were easy to insert into the hard pack ground and, for the second night, thick mud. The triangular shape held the stakes tight in place. The plastic sweeps were. a huge help in clearing the ridges of the stake of the dirt, mud and debris. As strong as the stakes held, they are also incredibly lightweight, making it much easier to carry in my pack. These are a well designed and thoughtful product. I highly recommend the product.

Bought these for a multi day trip with gravel bar overnights on the Current River. In the past used the basic stakes that came with my tent with less than optimal results. These hammer in the gravel, rocks and sand very easily, with a twisting motion as they anchor. Held the tent and rain fly extremely well and removal was no fuss in the morning.

[ I do n't mind getting out in rough weather or pitching a tent on more complicated terrains, and these stakes are the awesome. Due to their length and curvatures, you can penetrate very rocky ground as well as get a good hold in sand. If you 're in the wilderness, you 're going to run into bad weather at some point. These stakes are worth their price to secure your tent. I use a very expensive tent, and this tent requires staking out. Their cost is worth protecting the weak link in a tent system.

[ I have a ultralight tent that uses trekkin poles but I do n't always want to use them. These poles are easily adjustable with a very good range, study yet very light and I feel they put less wear on the pockets than the trekking poles. In any event I prefer having my hands free to carrying my poles in many situations and my dog does too. I have n't used them for my sil- tarp yet but I do n't see why they would n't work just as well.

[ When I first bought these, I 'd intended to use them with a basha shelter. But, the basha does n't do that well of a job keeping the wind out! So, I found a guy named `` Papa Hiker, '' and pitched several of his enclosed tarp shelters! I found a modified version of his Hex Tarp pitch, and those poles fit the bill perfectly! The shelter calls for a 125 cm trekking pole, but it just does n't collapse for easy storage; these poles do! I have no problems crawling into the tarp, and with another tarp on the ground underneath, I 'm dry! Ventilation is my only problem... other than that, these poles are great!

However, if you 're purchasing it to use with one of Flagpole- To- Go's collapsible aluminum poles, be aware that the thumbscrew can dent the thin- walled aluminum tubing of the pole. The pin hole did not line up with my Reese hitch. It would not seat far enough due to design. Luckily my FIL is a machinist and could modify the sleeve, so I am able to make it work. He also modified the part that holds the pole, so that the flag pole can ’ t slide all the way out the open bottom. And then he painted the whole thing black. Good quality metal, seems sturdy. I use it to proudly display a 3x5 American Flag on the back of my Jeep with a 1 ” metal flag pole.

After owning 2 indoor home pull up/dip stations, this one is the most sturdy and stable I have owned. I have it set up outside on my concrete back yard patio and it is stable enough for what I use it for that I do n't need to bolt it down. I lined the bottom with rubber garage door weather seal. I weigh 165 lbs. and use it regularly for weighted pull ups and dips, hanging leg/knee raises, toe to bar, windshield wipers, and oblique abdominal sit ups. However, if you plan on performing any plyometric exercises on it that require you to change your grips mid- air, then you should definitely bolt it down. As for the height, I 'm 5'10 '' and it works fine for me. If you 're over 6 feet, it might seem short if you do hanging leg/knee raises or pull ups( you would have to keep your knees bent). The only minor issues I had was that the shipping box came pretty beat up and some of the pieces came with a few scratches/chips. Also, the black caps were the only pieces that did n't seem to fit `` perfectly. '' They fit okay, but they kind of pop out a little occasionally. The diameter of the pull up bar is thicker than the typical ones you find in gyms and parks, which makes it more challenging, but I consider that a good thing. Keep in mind, this product does not have bars for neutral grip pull ups. The directions were clear and assembly was easy( all of the pieces/bolts fit well, I was able to hand tighten everything at first and then used the allen key to tighten everything at the end). As the directions say, do n't tighten anything until the last step. Overall, I 'm very satisfied with the product. I no longer need to lug my pull/dip chain belt and weight vest to the park to do my workouts and I can keep it outside with taking up indoor space.

Very happy with how easy this was to setup and use. The lever action makes it simple and truly a one person setup. Have to get the canopy attached when you first set it up but after that you can get it open and ready to use in close to a minute.

[ Fast, easy, sturdy, all around great quality product. Easy enough to pop up quickly for little projects, like working on vehicles. Dependable enough to take with you to tailgate and not have to worry about bad weather. Would highly recommend this pop up canopy. After the initial first time setup, this can be put up and taken down in a minute. Putting it in the bag takes a little longer but the design makes it so much easier than the others. The wide mouth allows it to slide in and out so you are not fighting it. Worth the money!
