We originally were considering Gecko's drawstring style dry bag, but decided this bag looked like better quality level for our needs. This bag was exactly what we needed. We took it on a river float trip, and it was perfect. The lower half was submerged for nearly the entire 3 hours and everything stayed dry. It held our sunscreen, t- shirts, hats, keys, etc with plenty of room. We did put phones and keys in ziplocks just in case, since it was our first time using it and wanted to make sure we were closing it correctly. The strap made carrying and tying down to the tube easy. I would definitely recommend it. The only thing is to make sure you roll down the top enough to ensure a good seal. It says on the bag to roll `` at least 3 times '' but I would recommend rolling basically until you reach the top of your contents.

I have used a lot of different shapes and sizes of the Bill's Bag over the years. The 65 is my favorite size for summer time, inflatable kayaking, or going light on the cat boat. I have had some failure with the plastic buckles in the past, mostly human error by smashing them in the frame or tail gate by accident. I was excited to use the new metal fastening system. They worked really well, except in the cold weather with cold hands. It is a little harder to fit the metal hook through the webbing. I see it as a trade off for a super secure system. The material is also super solid and dry.

[ My sleeping bag does not pack down tightly. The `` compression '' bag that came with it did n't do much. So I thought I 'd try the Sea to Summit dry compression bag and voila! Makes it easier to break camp in the morning and fits nicely on my rear pannier rack.

[ I 've been using evac compression bags for awhile, the new UL ones are great for backpacking and using in your backpack but they can be a bit fragile this Heavy Duty version is excellent. It's super water resistant having used it on bikepacking trips in rain and mud my gear stayed bone dry inside. It's very durable meaning you can strap it right to your bike or whatever your needs may be without worry of wear and tear. The new style closure system with buckles on one side makes opening and closing super quick and efficient which is great for when you get to camp late. I 'll be picking up a few more in various sizes.

David S.
[ I have been using the dry bag for my sleeping bag for a little while now and I really like it. The compression is superior to the stuff sack my North Face One Bag came with so it takes up less room in my pack. It is also water resistant so I 'm able to keep my sleeping bag dry and therefore warm and safe. I then bought a larger bag to also keep a spare base layer in so I 'm always sleeping in the driest system possible. This spring has been vey wet so it's been extremely important I keep my gear dry. I feel confident hiking without a pack liner thanks to this dry bag. One tip I recommend is folding the opening back one fold as you store your contents as the lip of the bag has a tendency to bind on what you 're putting in the bag. Once I learned that I felt I was getting the maximum benefit from the dry bag. I also can not say enough good things about how easy it is to compress. This is one of the best pieces of gear I own.
5
Michael M.
[ This is great! I needed a compression sack for my sleeping bag and this doubles as a dry bag. I really like the venting fabric on the bottom. It's like the dry bags I was issued in the Marine Corps that had a vent on them which was exactly what I was looking for.
5
michael v.
[ Great quality product I own about 20 of them for myself and the family. When loading my moto bags these turn 7 days of soft gear into the pack size of 3 days. If your limited with space on your bike these are a game changer along with figuring out what can pack down in a regular stuff sack vs what should be compression bag My only gripe isn ’ t a big deal But the clips are a pain to flip around if they get twisted, it doesn ’ t effect the function AT ALL the bag still works as intended if the straps twisted it just bugs me and I have to use pliers to flip it around, again not a big deal just a minor thing

[ The trash dry bag does its job perfectly, keeping messy things like coffee grounds and packaged tuna wrappers and a few beer cans contained and tidy. We used it for car camping, and since it is not critter proof, put it in the car overnight. No messes, no smell( to us humans anyway). We will be strapping it along for a bike packing trip later this summer, and all the strap points will make it very easy to bring along and hang overnight.

[ It took almost two hours to set it up the first time! And about twenty minutes the second time… It ’s a fun, easy and almost miraculous experience. When people are around and watching they are surprised and impressed. My first time getting in the boat was easier than I expected and so was paddling and maneuvering. We took our Oru Kayaks out of the box on the shore of String Lake, Grand Teton NP, with directions in hand and gathering onlookers anticipating the final form of our clever unfolding. The first attempt was frustrating. I might have said a swear word or two. However, the second kayak emerged more easily and lacked the initial assembly drama. Those interested in our maiden voyage were delighted to see how light the boats were and how easily we launched them. After sliding into the water, my first stroke shot the boat forward and I knew I was in for a great day of paddling. My wife and I simultaneously commented about how easily the boats paddled and how responsive they were. As a side note, thank you very much for supplying a decent paddle in your package. It paddled as well as my trusty Werner paddle and broke down better. The first test came at the north end of String Lake where we had to portage the boats a quarter mile to Leigh Lake. At 26 pounds apiece, we easily carried both Oru boats together. On a previous trip to this same destination, we carried 65 pound plastic kayaks individually over the portage, which means we walked a mile with more weight, instead of a quarter mile with lighter Oru boats. Paddling Leigh Lake was a dream. Even in light chop from an afternoon gust, the Oru Kayaks paddled great! Our heavier, plastic ocean kayaks totally out perform the Oru kayaks on our home waters of Monterey Bay, but they don ’ t come close to the convenience, compact storage, and light weight we need for packing in our trailer and heading out to lakes in the northwest. The best part: I didn ’ t buy have to buy a kayak rack for the cab of my truck, which my wife isn ’ t tall enough to reach anyway, for two folding kayaks that fit snugly in the truck bed. Thank you for a pair of really fun kayaks. More adventures to follow…

The Coast XT with Carbon Paddle is great. The learning curve was a little steep for putting it together but now I have the hang of it. It maneuvers well and is fast in the water. Well built bag. You can definitely tell the bag is well constructed and built to last. The 2 pouches on the inside of the bag are nice to carry loose items that are important. Would recommend to anyone traveling or in need of a waterproof bag for overlanding.

Good materials, and plenty of lashing points. Shoulder straps are excellent. Waterproof zipper limits the opening, but tradeoffs.

This is an amazing product. The only recommendation I would make is having an upside down `` U '' as a zipper to access and pack what is inside and not have a zipper in your back.

[ I like the quality and the size of the bag. Will fit on a smaller kayak.

[ This is better and more creative than the online description. It has a semi- rigid insert to hold shape, the interior dry bag is attached with loop-&- hook( Velcro), and there are a couple of ways to secure it on the deck of your kayak. Because some powerboat drivers have not paid close attention, I do prefer bright colors when crossing a lakes. And, of course, bright colors are easier for bush pilots to spot. I do wish it came in a bright color similar to a safety vest.

Used on a self support kayak trip on the middle fork of salmon in Idaho. Ran it on the front deck but mounted so the access end was toward the bow. In reverse the angle makes it easy to read a waterproof map in the bungees and did not interfere with strokes. Great for extra jacket, lunch, and small dry box. No need to open the hatches for gear until camp.

No matter how much I cord I use to lash a dry bag to the deck for my snacks, extra layers, and camera, it never seems to stay put and I can never get into it easily. Sea To Summit solved the problem with a versatile, semi- rigid outer that's easy to rig and a dry bag sewn inside.

I took all 3 dry pouches in a backpack on a 5 hour canyoneering adventure and we were in a lot of water cliff jumping, repelling, doing water slides and swimming through sections of water. ALL my personal belongings including my wallet, car key and lunch stayed dry! I 've been looking for smaller dry pouches for added protection to use in the dry pouch side of my buoy for open water swims and these will work great!

We went tubing down the river for 4th of July. We hit some rapids and my son flipped over and the Quest Water Proof Pouch, of course, went under water!! It had THREE iphones in the bag! We thought for sure we lost them. After 15 minutes of searching in the rapids one of the boys found the bag, lifted it up, and NOT ONE DROP OF WATER in the the bag!! We could n't believe it!! So, I had to take the time to come on here and share that these bags REALLY do work!!

When I saw these on Dick ’s Sporting Goods website I immediately liked the price and various sizes. Concerts and other venues have rules for clear see through hip bags and purses. Dick ’s Sporting Goods had three sizes at the perfect price compared to clear hip bags at other stores priced outrageously. Why pay too much for see through bags when you can purchase reasonable price and get three at Dick ’s Sporting Goods. Thanks for selling these clear bags in various sizes. Plus if it rains, they can tuck under your top and fold.

My ORU Lake turned out to be even easier that I thought possible. Once I figured it all out through helpful videos, it was a snap, literally! My kayaking friend and I had a blast on our maiden voyage, and she had decided to send hers back. Once I showed her the ropes, she was a convert. We are now looking forward to a summer full of adventures!

My kayaking life just got so much easier! I love my full- size, traditional kayaks, but there is no way I can take them out independently. Now I can grab and go! So awesome!

Bought this item to protect my cell phone while boating and kayaking and it lives up to keeping it from getting wet. Plus the clear front allows me to use it to take pictures during our water adventures. Seals well, the lariat is great and allows me to have hands off waterproof protection while paddling. A must for outdoor adventure enthusiasts who want to chronicle their trips via cellphone photos or maintain communication capabilities.
