Simple to put together very good for Fllorida weather and the price.

5 izzylovesthistent
I bought it I think three summers ago. I only camp 8- 10 nights a year, so it's held up great. It's hard to find a tent that's completely open on top, save for the mesh screen. It's lovely to leave it open and look at the sky or observe the leaves/bugs during the day and hugely helpful for ventilation. It has pretty excellent bug protection and the color is just so dang pretty. If this one falls apart, I hope I can get the exact same one!

I bought this for to keep me out the sun when I ’ m at the lake or downtown doing a picnic it ’s comes in handy and you can fold and carry it around anywhere you would like.

Great tent for the price and I was able to set it up myself. Best for camping with 1- 2 people.

Great purchase, on sale, quality material, spacious enough for 4 of us.

5 JWsix
Bought this tent for a family camp trip. It worked well enough for us. 2 kids 2 parents 1 dog fit comfortably. The door zipper does get caught easily in the fabric. Not sure how you would fit 8 people though.

5 NocM
It was great but I wish I 'd have known to tie my own extra knots at the end of the poles because one pulled through two of the poles. I think I can fix and maybe still use, as is. I admit I was nervous about hoisting it up after putting all the poles together myself, but it worked. I did n't use the rain cover.

5 Destinid
This tent is very spacious! We put 2 queen air mattress inside! You can stand up throughout. My kids really enjoyed sleeping in the tent!

We have five kids and our entire family loves playing this game. My only regret would be I ’ d wished I purchased it earlier in the summer!!!

[ I bought this around a month ago. I love it. Great quality and great for the person that wants a ultralight tent that is good in all weather.

[ So far I 'm extremely pleased with my Big Agnes platinum 3 tent. I 've set it up several times and overall it only takes 1 person 2 or 3 minutes to deploy fully, that includes the rain fly. My only real grip is I would n't consider it a 3 person. I bought this for my annual pemiloop hike in the white mountains and I 'm not sure 3 adult males can sleep comfortably in it. I would still purchase it just due to weight reduction and ease of use.

A fantastic tent when used for its intended purpose. It's pretty tight for two, but very light weight and holds up well in bad condition. Highly recommend to seal the seams which adds a lot of waterproofness

5 Stanley B.
If I 'm not on a bike tour somewhere in the world, I am more than likely at my home in Nepal or Colorado. I am always on the lookout for a lightweight well- made, high quality, self- standing and weather proof tent. Yes, I use this while on my bike and when away from home in either the U. S. or Nepal, I find it extremely useful to have this tent sitting in the bottom of my pack ready- to- use at a moment's notice. When I let people know that I do n't need my own room, I 'm suddenly an invited guest! I am a huge supporter of Bibler/Black Diamond tents and have used several models extensively around the world for decades.

5 Brian S.
I 'm pretty much just a weekend warrior and go car camping. I used it when the weather dropped around 50°f and was pretty comfortable. The only issue I have is I wish it was an inch longer or I could stake out the back of the tent and pull it back some my. I 'm 6ft 1 and I have no extra room between my head and the tent.

5 Emilia 4.
The lightest option for alpine mountaineering. Thank you BD for taking our adventures further.

5 Jaimie
Have a first light that is now about 10 years old. The poles have finally lost their elasticity but it ’s a decade old. Have used in temps down to 30. Never leaks. Does get a little condensation when 2 are using it. By myself it does better. It ’s a tight squeeze for 2 people but it keeps it light and simple. I can pitch this tent in about 5 mins and pack it away just as fast. You won ’ t regret spending the money on this one.

[ This tent is easy to set up( did n't even need the directions) and super roomy. There is plenty of room to stand up, a benefit in buggy or rainy environments. In its first week of use, it survived a big wind storm, hail, and a lightning storm. It weathered all three spectacularly- as did the people inside! We stayed dry and protected with no problem. We did purchase some beefier stakes to hold it down. The door zip snags a bit, but once you realize that, it is easy to adapt to. Highly recommend.

I used this tent 50 or more times last year to the point that someone stole it because of its storm resistance. I 've used quest on my extreme addiction revival the last two years of breaking the cycle of others control.

5 Weiser
We recently purchased this for the kids to sleep in while we tent camp. Very easy to put it up and it was a great choice for the price point. We also like the ventilation in the top as well as the little holder net on the top of the inside of the tent

High Tech and well crafted peice of essential outdoor gear! I have taken this tent to the highest and lowest points of Africa and it has never let me down. i love how it leaves an almost non- existent footprint and it very easy to pack.

Took on CO and MT backcountry hunt recently, held up to wind and rain with zero issue. Quick and easy to setup and tear down, and when rolled up it actually fits into the bag with room to spare. Hunting partners admired it, compliments all around

5 Lindsay F.
Most spacious, lightweight tent I 've owned! It packs down amazingly. Have biked and hiked with this tent and ca n't recommend it enough. So nice to have room inside for two people to sit up! I would recommend picking up some extra guy line for the fly to be able to stake out the centre of the fly and not just the corners. In colder weather, I find that the fly sticks to the tent with condensation. Nothing a little extra staking ca n't fix.

5 CLAIRE S.
I 've used this as my only backpacking and camping tent for two years. I have not had any issues. I also have not used it in heavy rain or wind. I would recommend for a two person tent.

5 Mayor of Rives
[ I purchased this a couple of months ago and really like it. It was a little more than the other tents that I was looking at, but I decided to go for it. It is unbelievably light, so it is no factor when hiking. The spacing inside is good. The construction is solid. I would recommend this tent to anyone who wants a simple, light tent.

5
[ The tent is very light and easy to carry, which can save space for more planning. The rainproof effect is good. I have spent several night shifts in the mountains this spring, which brought me many beautiful feelings. Through the star network, I can see the sky full of stars and feel happy. The only thing that needs to be improved is the windproof performance. In the fifth and sixth level mountain winds, there is a lot of shaking, and the windproof rope needs to be particularly stable.

It's only little over 2 pounds and stood up against hurricane like thunderstorm and it's warm in the cold too. They market it a three season but you can definitely take this on super cold nights. Setup is crazy fast and easy. The material they used to make this is VERY durable. I forgot my footprint and for 10 nights did n't get one hole or anything. I was dry the entire time, no leaks at all. I believe this is the redesign. A lot of effort was put into the engineering for this monster tent. I do n't think I 'll ever get another tent. If you 're hiking a long ways and need something lightweight and durable this is what you get hands- down. Light weight, warm and resilient. Do n't mess around. For what you 're paying for this is the absolute best deal on the planet. Get this lightweight monster. Thank you Northface

Perfect sized tent. We used this and it fit 4 of us with ease. It was very easy to set up and break down. I ’ d recommend this tent to anybody. The easy breakdown and storage are both a huge plus in my opinion

5 MamaLoveLeeHome
The Quest Overlook 6 person dome tent seems to work great for our family of 5! I would say 6 people in it would be cramped. Setup took about 10 minutes and was much easier with 2 people doing it. I love how the instructions are stitched into the carrying bag it comes in. Makes sure we will never lose it! I also really like that you can have the cover on or off the tent. Plenty of room for a few air mattresses inside. Overall my kids loved it! We are not much of a camping family but do enjoy putting up the tent in our yard and having an at home outdoorsy experience 🤣

5 Indymom46
Overall this is a really nice tent for the price. Everything is really well packed and instructions are attached to the carrying bag and really easy to follow. We did an outside practice run and it took about 15 minutes to unpack and set up and tear down the tent. We did not stake or attach the fly on this test. Also, unlike many tents, this is a tall tent, tall enough for a 6 foot man to stand upright at the tallest point. My favorite part is how easy it was to pack it back up into the carrying bag. It is roomy, not a tight duffel like many other tent bags. You could even store other accessories in the bag if needed. The basic tent without the fly would also be a great secondary tent to set up and use as a bug screen for meals during the peak buggy seasons.

5 Nice Shirt
The whole family is ready to go camping in this huge tent! Rated for six people, and you could definitely fit them all in( very spacious). Includes nice little gear pockets inside and also a gear/cargo loft which is convenient. I was even able to find a spot to hang a light inside. The base/floor is a thick tarp and will keep you very dry and is easy to wipe clean. I did a practice run setting it up inside before using it outside. It is possible for one person to set up but definitely easier and quicker with two people. Goes up in minutes with two people. It is very study, weather proof, and well made. The poles put a lot of tension on the fabric during set up, and it held up great- no rips like other cheaper tents I have used. Worth buying!

I look forward to bringing this tent in future backpacking trip to Wyoming. Thanks Big Agnes!

5 Super Cub
[ Bought the Mad House Six to use on a 10- day trip to Airventure in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Did n't take the footprint to save weight. Experienced six thunderstorms while camping. Not a drop of rain made it into the tent. Winds were sustained at 40 mph with stronger gusts for two straight hours during the worst storm. Expensive, but worth it!

5 Jakob
[ This tent is a little bigger than what we needed as a family( 3people+ 1dog) for weekend camping trips, but that's what we wanted. This is not a cabin tent so I do n't need to worry about high winds causing too much stress on the frame and tent seams. I love that I do n't have to stoop whenever I 'm inside the main part of the tent. The two vestibules created when the rain fly is on the tent are great for leaving muddy shoes outside but still under cover. There were plenty of pockets on the inside of the tent for our stuff and one great thing about them was that the pockets kept your stuff away from the walls... no morning dew on your stuff!!! Setup was simple; follow the directions on the tag of the tent bag. I tried to just logic my way through it the first time and one of my poles got a little bent... not bad, but I felt like an idiot. Followed the directions the text time and it went up easy. Also, 1 person can set this tent up, 2 people is better. 1 person can take this tent down without any difficulty. The rain fly has so many Velcro straps on the underside to wrap around the poles to help keep it in place. I used maybe 2 at each vestibule end and staked out the vestibules. The rest of the fly I left in place using only the clips to the main tent. We were n't expecting much wind so I did n't bother with the rest or the guy lines and the tent did just fine. Also, the seams are taped inside using some kind of flexible water repellant tape/adhesive... awesome!!! I ca n't say how many times I 've camped in the past and the seams are the first place where condensation forms and starts dripping... that's annoying. Taped seams should solve, or at the very least help with that problem. I would definitely recommend this tent.

[ I bought this tent last year, but was only able to use it for the first time a few weeks ago. I was excited to give it a try and was not disappointed. Some high level thoughts: 1. I wanted a tent with a large vestibule AND that I could stand up in. I live in the PNW and we get a lot of rainy days. The amount of space was perfect for my setup. 2. The initial build is a but confusing at first, but once you figure it out is a breeze to setup. The tent uses a snap system that I have n't encountered before but that I find clever. 3. It took me more than a few minutes and few tries to figure out which is the front door when adding the tarp. BA likely could have added some big arrows or something here. 4. Yes, this is a two person tent, but I use a larger sleeping pad, so really only have space for one( ok with me since I solo mostly). 5. Definitely a car camping tent. But it is compact enough when stored to not take up too much room. 6. My only real complaint is the vestibule has about a 6 '' gap around the bottom edges. So you do n't get a real feeling of 100% privacy. I also use the separate footprint and I kept kicking dirt into the vestibule area that required me to constantly sweep out. On the other hand, did n't have any problem with bugs. 7. Love the amount of doors, including the front and side door. Bottom line: This will be my go- to tent for solo car camping, especially on wet/rainy weekends.

Fun and light adventure ready tent! My 6 year old nephew and I have loved how easy it is to set- up. He is practicing for our first real trip to the woods.

5 Maine44
As I write, it is 2024. I have had the tent since 2016. I use it as a 1- person tent. I average about 45 days a year in this tent. It is not uncommon for me to pitch it, and leave it set- up, for 14 days at a time... this long UV- exposure use is hard on tents. I have had zero problems with the tent. Never got wet, never blown away, no repairs, zippers are still 100%. It is, of course, pretty darn snug if used by two people... but, that's the nature of 2- person backpacking tents, regardless of make/model.

5 Abcde1234
When I ordered this tent I took a chance since I had never heard of this brand. I ’ m glad I did. It looks to be a high quality tent at about half the price of other brands. The seams are well sealed which is usually not the case. I set it up to seal them at it wasn ’ t necessary. I will probably be looking for this brand more often.

5 JTelling
My 2p Marmot Tungsten has been very reliable. It kept me dry through a few very heavy downpours in the Midwest. With doors on both sides, access remains easy whether I am by myself or have a tent mate. Perfect for myself and my hiking gear. Rainfly can be used multiple ways for either privacy, easy access or wind- flow. For the price, it is durable and reliable.

5 Paris Hilton
This spring I took the greatest leap of adolescence and bought my first tent independent of my family. I knew I needed something that toed the fine line between durability and portability, as I would primarily be using it for river trips and backpacking. After an extensive and frankly obsessive research process, only the Tungsten 2p met my many demands. After some agonizing, I decided to take the leap, despite never owning a Marmot tent before. I am so glad I did! My first night in this tent, my dog and I stayed warm and dry despite the inch of snow that fell on top of us. This tent vents in a way that frankly I did n't know was possible and feels relatively spacious for being just a 2 person. I would say it can comfortably fit two average sized people and two medium sized packs. I have used it now for an entire spring and summer season in the peaks of the San Juans and various river canyons of the Southwest. Never once have I awoken to a drop of condensation nor had it rattle in obnoxious winds. Its quick and easy to set up solo and can pack down incredibly small. The wide open mesh top allows for spectacular star viewing and perhaps best if all, it's a spectacular color! I could n't recommend this tent enough if you need something light and durable or just want to make a wise investment in an introductory tent. 100/10

[ So far, so good. On my first trip out with the Tungsten 1 person tent, it rained pretty heavily in the middle of the night and not a drop of water inside. It is a super small tent, but that's to be expected for such a light backpacking option.

[ I recently completed the 20 mile Manistee River Loop Trail and spent two nights in this tent. I have absolutely no regrets about this purchase as the tent performed flawlessly. It is incredibly easy to set up/take down within minutes, had plenty of room for me inside and for my backpack in the vestibule, and there was adequate ventilation with no condensation despite the nights being cool. Best of all, the footprint is included so there is no additional expense for this important component to help protect the floor. All in all, I am extremely pleased with my Marmot 1p Tungsten Tent!

[ Easy to set up, spacious, love that it has 2 doors

I have been looking for a new camping tent forever. Being a bit of a penny pincher I had been burning through one cheap tent after another. I recently got the Limestone for an weekend camping trip and I love. It was rainy and windy all weekend but my tent stayed bone dry. More than that, I could actually stand in this tent and the walls being so vertical I could actually fit my wife and two kids in it without us rolling over each other all night. Even better its got these great pockets for stashing away your gear. You can tell they really thought out every aspect of this tent.

4 Camp
Large and spacious. Large doors in front and smaller one in back was very useful. Coming from a smaller `` 4 person tent ''( sierra South fork) this was more difficult to put up for one person. Mainly because the poles are threaded through the top. This Required the tent and poles to be lifted while simultaneously bending them into place eyelets in the corners. Clips to the top might be easier to build the tent. The rainfly has a droop over the main vestibule where rain collects. No leaks observed but it makes entering during rainfall risky. We camped during a bright moon. The kiwi color made the tent seem while on the inside. Drying out took somewhat long due to some of the double over layers( zipper covers, flaps etc) trapping water. Pack size and pole design makes it just too big to be a good packing tent. Good for cars and short carry ins Size: 5/5 Set up: 4/5 Rain resistance: light rain( 4/5) Drying time: 3/5 Color option: 4/5 Wind resistance: TBD

[ Great tent to replace my 4- 5 year- old almost perfect Halo 6p. I ’ d thought it was indestructible, but it didn ’ t stand up to a flying chair from a neighboring site during a thunderstorm. Although the Limestone has slightly less floor area, it feels larger since the walls are more vertical than the Halo ’s. I ’ m 6 ’ 3 ” and can walk around upright in more than half the tent. Both vestibules are smaller than the Halo ’s, but I ’ d never really needed/used the enormous front vestibule of the Halo. The Limestone ’s vestibule held my chair with no problem and will hold my bike with no problem on the next trip. Just did a 3- day trip in rain and 35+mph gusts and the Limestone appeared to be every bit as sturdy as the Halo. Added benefits: it ’s lighter, packs smaller, and is slightly easier to set up since it ’s got one fewer pole and the rain fly is smaller and easier to handle. Although I do appreciate the increased privacy from the non- mesh white front door, I almost wish it had see- through mesh and a zippered privacy screen like the Halo. We ’ ll see how that affects summer ventilation. For this winter trip, ventilation was great- no condensation at all on those 35 degree nights. Bottom line is that Marmot knocked it out of the park again.

We 've had our Limestone 6p for about 8 camping seasons in the PNW. I got it after constantly getting wet in our other tents and so that my tall husband could stand up comfortably and move around. It felt like$$$ at the time but it has been amazing which is why I 'm here to write this review. I love the extra dry front and back porch areas for shoes and things we want to protect. Nice large doors for coming and going, lots of pockets inside and a hook to hang a light. So quick and easy to put up. We 're always careful to store dry and clean. For the first time this year, it had one tiny drip coming through the rainfly where the seam tape was peeling up.( I 've submitted my first warranty claim so we 'll see how that process works.) Admittedly, most of our camping is in forested areas but I can see how the lightweight poles might not hold up as well in a place with high winds. 100% would buy this tent again.

5 Hope1
I purchased our tent Christmas 2015 and started camping with it in 2016. We have camped in her 20- 48 days per year from as early as April to the beginning of November. Most of our tent ’s time was spent in the Canadian Rockies in a variety of weather. She has experienced Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, British Columbia, Northwest Territories and North and South Dakota. She has kept us dry, cool, warm and cozy all these years. Both tent zippers to the front and back have been replaced. The fly has numerous patches. This year 2 sections of both poles were bent during a strong wind while trying to set her up in Grasslands National Park in Saskatchewan. Unfortunately they can not be straightened. The fly is very thin from exposure to various types of weather. I chose the Limestone tent as it ’s tall enough to stand up in, otherwise my husband wouldn ’ t have agreed to camp in a tent. It ’s also very easy to assemble, take down and store in provided bag. The main tent is still in great shape. My husband is 81 and his memory is starting to fail. He wants to continue to camp as long as he is able, therefore, having the same tent would be beneficial as with a little reminding, he can still assist in tent assembly and take down. She will last a couple of more trips this year then I ’ ll be searching for a replacement.

After doing significant research on multi person tents, I decided on a Marmot Limestone 6 person tent. That was back in 2012. We have been camping in the tent every season except two. We have taken exceptional care of this tent( never putting it away damp, keeping it away from campfires, and storing it in a suitable tent tote) and in turn, this tent has kept up warm, dry and given us many memories of mother/daughter camping. One summer we were camping in WI and were hunkered down during a severe thunderstorm. As loud as it was with the rain AND hail pounding on the rain fly, we were safe and dry in our Marmot Limestone tent. We actually had a small stream running under the tent, but not a drop inside! The gear pockets are great and it sleeps three people quite comfortably on twin air beds and our gear. The entryway are a bonus for keeping your gear dry from the night dew and there is plenty of head room for standing up and changing clothes. We did have warranty work done this year and service was fast helpful! We absolutely love our Marmot!

5 camping Kayker
I bought my limestone about a year ago and have been out in it about 7 times now primitive camping and I love it. It is an easy set up and on two of my trips I had some severe storms come in, the one alone had about 40mph winds with it and the tent shook some but it weathered the storm( no pun intended). Very easy to do a one person set up with and I really enjoy the space and head room.

[ The Tungsten 3P tent held up in light rain and heavy wind on a backpacking trip along the west coast. Have n't tried it in heavy rain yet but so far, no condensation drips into the tent so that's a good sign. Also it packs down pretty light. Would recommend purchasing 4 additional stakes since this tent comes with 4 guy lines and no stakes for them.

[ I bought this tent a few months ago, in preparation for a multi- day trip to the Olympic Peninsula in Washington state. It is super easy to set up; I specifically like the colorcoding of matching orange poles to orange tent corners and silvery poles to white tent corners. I slept two nights on Third Beach and two nights on the Enchanted Valley trail. I love love love the front door, which means I can crawl in while keeping my feet outside the tent easier, thus dragging less dirt in. The material is thin, but it has robustness to it, and it kept all sorts of tiny bugs out. I like the ventilation options. I did get overly warm in the middle of the day if I was inside with everything zippered up, which means it 'd hold heat well in cooler temperatures. Did n't happen to have any internal moisture problems during my trip and it even rained on the last day. It was very nice being able to reverse fast- fly the tent in the rain. I was able to take down the inner portion while staying under the fly and on the ground tarp. Just a matter of disassembling it while inside and then popping the tent poles out of their holders, re- putting them into the tarp's holders, and doing that for all four corners. All of the pockets were great. I did take my big orange safety whistle and its necklace cord, and put the cord through a loop on the main overhead pocket in such a way as to fasten the pocket up a bit higher. It does hang a bit low once it's filled with stuff. Overall, this is a mansion as a one person tent with plenty of space to sit up and move around. I 'd have been fine also making this an actual two person tent with my partner, especially since with the multiple entries there's plenty of space to get in and out and store stuff. Overall, I 'm really glad I went with my gut and splurged on this tent. It's not the lightest out there, but I felt very safe in it since it was a standalone, rather than something that required needing stakes, and it did n't feel super flimsy.

5 Shih
[ The defining feature of this tent is that 3rd door and it is awesome! It's like a giant picture window. You spend all that effort hiking to some beautiful place, why not have a tent that allows you to continue to enjoy the view from inside the tent. It also does wonders for ventilation. The volume is really nice. The floor size is pretty standard 2- person. The gear loft over the foot area is pretty roomy. I kept a lot of seldom used stuff there while camping over the weekend. Off the floor and out of the way.

5 michelle renee
[ I did a lot of research trying to find a new tent. I was drawn to this one because of the 3- door feature, it being a somewhat lightweight backpacking tent, the awning setup for shade during my morning coffee, and the many many pockets and thoughtful design. So far I have used this tent once on a backpacking trip in Utah. It did snow one evening during the trip about 2- 3 inches and the tent held up just fine and I was completely dry inside. The tent is very intuitive to set up. I am looking forward to using this again.

[ I purchased this tent late last summer and could not wait to give it a try on a bike packing trip. I love the size of this tent both packed and set up. It's perfect and spacious for one person, with lots of room to spread out and store gear. I placed my bike in the 'garage' as it rained the first trip out. Everything stayed dry. Lots of internal storage pockets and I slept comfortably( it was a warm night and a cool morning with light rain overnight). It was an easy first time set up... no issues at all. I used a tarp for a foot print but ended up purchasing the foot print later when it came back in stock. I will be using this bike packing tent in 2022 for a 300 miler. The reason I purchased this tent is that I can keep my bike in the large vestibule( garage. There are two entries with a smaller vestibule on the other end... I could exit on that end. I still had room in the larger vestibule( where my bike was) to use for heating water for oatmeal and coffee in the morning. The tent has ample room to sit up and get dressed inside. The tent weighs about 6 lbs. Yes... there are lighter bike packing tents... but for the security of being able to keep your bike inside the tent and the price of this tent... that extra weight.... No problem for a bike packer! The tent fits easily back into it's stuff sack.

We wanted to find a tent big enough to fit our packs between our two lite cots we use while camping and this tent is the perfect size with room to spare! The 3 doors are also a plus for us so that we can enter and exit the tent without bothering each other! Overall great tent with awesome features! Would recommend to anyone!

[ This Tent is huge! I put a queen size mattress( 80x60) in it and still had enough room to walk around it while standing( I 'm 5' 8 '' and had 2 feet on the right and 2 feet on the bottom around the mattress to walk around). If you are looking for a true 6- person tent this, is it. The zippers are really high quality just need to go slow getting in an out as they can snag on the material just like any other tent. The rain fly and tent material is really nice waterproofing, feels like 15K. Be aware that Big Agnes currently does not sell extra tent poles to put up the shelter and the tent at the same time. Also, make sure to buy the Footprint( its not included), it adds longevity to the bottom of the tent and is necessary for the shelter to set up by itself.

[ First: Th tent is n't nearly as dark- colored as the picture indicates- it's light grey and white. Very easy to set up and comfortable inside. Vestibule is roomy. The shorter pole segments make a big, positive difference when packing a bike! The bag is great if you want the Molle straps, otherwise I do n't see the advantage( and it does n't fit the best with my handlebar bag system.

5 Kai K
[ Lightweight, sturdy, easy to put up…this is a great little one person tent. My only complaint is that Big Agnes should include the footprint because the test is quite delicate and requires one.

5 Oohlala
[ I bought this tent predominantly for backpacking or car camping. There is a chance I could bike pack, but that was not part of the decision to get this tent. I chose this slightly heavier tent over the regular backpacking tent because I wanted the decreased packed length. This allows me to put it in my backpack horizontally, and I keep the entire tent+ poles together. I chose a one person to keep the weight and volume down. I also appreciated having the loop straps on the top of the fly. During the BWCA trip last week, I frequently had wet socks, wet pant legs, and what other things to dry out. It was also windy during the trip. Once, I did put clothing in a pine tree. My friend later told me he picked up my stuff from the ground. After that, I always put my wet stuff under the loops on the tent. I love it! I had been concerned about the darker color of this tent compared to the backpacking tent. However, the color in the pictures is misleading. When I 'm inside the tent, I ca n't call it cheerful on the daytime but it's not dark and dreary. I do n't think it will soak up heat of the sun anymore than any other non- white tent will. I do like that it blends in better with the environment. I did purchase the footprint that also extends into the vestibule space. I 've previously had a tent with this feature and found it helpful. However, my friend has a BA tent with a traditional vestibule and he put a piece of plastic in front of his tent door. In the BWCA, the areas that we pitched our tents were often dirt. I found I had a lot of dirt on the footprint which kept me from sitting on it, etc. Meanwhile, my friend just simply lifted up his plastic and shook it out. We did get rain, so it's possible my gear under the vestibule stayed dryer. That being said, I do question if I 'm in this similar situation if I could just fold the vestibule back on itself and under the tent. And a grassy or less dusty situation, the footprint extending into the vestibule would be great. Otherwise, this review will likely apply to both the backpacking and bikepacking versions of this tent. My 8- year- old LLB 1- person tent I labeled my coffin tent. I do not feel the same way about this BA 1- person tent!!! This tent is a little wider, and I definitely have more headroom. It has a vent above which was a key deciding factor for my purchasing this tent. I hate tent condensation in the morning! I have a normal width sleeping pad And I can straddle it on hands and knees to adjust it and blow it up a little bit more. I can kneel in the tent and bend over in a squat to further make adjustments. I am 5 ft 7 in. ALL of the wonderful storage pockets kept so much off of the floor of the tent that it gave my body more space to move around. This is wonderful no matter what size version of this tent you get. I had a light jacket, a hat, and a shirt in the big pocket on the roof. The zippers on the tent open and close beautifully. Nothing got stuck. With the zipper on the fly I was a bit more careful, but all I did was extend a finger first in the direction I was traveling and that kept any material from getting caught. I am still figuring out all of the toggles, especially on the right side( facing tent) of the fly. It is very nice to open the doors wide, even if I do n't use the awning feature. THE VESTIBULE is Wonderful!! The vestibule in my old coffin tent would n't fit my backpack. With this BA 1- person tent, My 65- L ULA Catalyst backpack, a bait holder bag, shoes, my pfd, and a sm dry bag fit under the vestibule AND I still had room to enter and exit the tent. The vestibule rocks!!! The only thing that I do n't like about the vestibule is that there is n't a second smaller one. I do n't know if any 1- person tent has two vestibules. However, while this does allow one to set up the tent in smaller spaces, you are very restricted which way your vestibule faces. For ex, you may have to choose between setting up the tent so the foot faces into prevailing winds for safety... or setting up so you can open the vestibule doors and have a beautiful view of the mountains or a lake versus woods and weeds two to three feet from your vestibule if you set up for wind management. Setting up the tent was easy. The first two times I put the ends of the crossbars in the fly, it was effortful and I was concerned that I would do damage to the fly. Afterward, the material loosened up and it became easier. Clipping the fly to the footprint when I 'm also using the tent body is just a little awkward because cord material gets in the way of the clips. Guying out is much easier, quicker with the new adjustment pieces. There are two pieces of velcro to attach to the tent poles at the head of the tent. In the stake bag, there are multiple Velcro pieces and I 've not been able to find out what those are for. I bought two MSR groundhog stakes for two reasons: BA should have provided 1 more stake and I wanted two longer stakes to better anchor the tent in higher wind. During our BWCA trip, we did get a little rain but we got high winds during that time frame. Under these circumstances and with my roof vent open, I did n't get rain inside the tent. Also, with what both my friend and I felt were straight line winds, no rain got in the tent from under the tent fly. That being said, since the fly edges tend to sit up a bit higher from the ground to allow more ventilation, there was a lot of dirt and wood matter splash up against the wall of the tent. Luckily, the solid part obtained body goes high enough that nothing got inside. The inner tent remained dry. Packing down the tent and putting it and the poles in the available bags is okay. The bags are just wide enough if you pack things well. The stakes and their bag came packed inside with the tent and fly. I am a little concerned about the stakes being pushed in the bag with all of this other delicate material. My friend got upset with me because he felt I was taking too long to tear down the tent. I kept the fly on the tent body and attended to fold it all up together keeping the mesh on the inside, then stuff it in the bag. My friend felt I should just stuff each one in separately. I 'm not sure what's best, I just want to protect this more delicate material. That being said, my biggest concern for the material was when I was packing away the tent. Having the footprint down certainly protected the floor of my tent from any damage. Pros: mostly everything! Roof vent, large, practical vestibule, material loops on exterior fly, large tent body entryway, VG zippers, vestibule doors open wide, lots of interior pocket storage, a 1- person without being too confined, usually adjustable guylines, quick setup, appears to handle high wind well, why is not too dark, reflective elements on the tent keep one from tripping, fly zipper also zips from the top down, well- made. Cons: I guess the tent/tent pole bags could be lighter and the bags just the tiniest bit larger dia. The daisy chain loops are very small and not terribly practical. BA should include the missing stake. I would like for BA to also sell the bikepacking and backpacking poles separately. I could see someone wanting to own both depending on what situation they would be using the tent. I would also like BA to advertise that the traditional footprint and the extended footprint will fit both bikepacking and backpacking tents. Otherwise, the rest of my review will apply

We 've had this tent almost 3 years. For the past 2 years it served as a 2 person cabin at our hunting lease. We 've gone so far as to put 2 queen size air mattresses, a chest of drawers and a heater in it. Aside from maintenance it has performed flawlessly, enduring some decent storms, pea sized hail, with ease. Of my few complaints with this tent none of them would be noticed or problematic for a family of weekend warriors. Two thoughts if Core reads these, add a socket pocket near the back window and offer a rainfly with vestibule or porch feature.

Good tent footprint, but it seems like it should have the same shape as the tent base. The 9- Person Extended Dome Tent is n't rectangular, the ends taper. This leaves the corners of the footprint exposed which could allow heavy rain to collect and pool under the tent. Otherwise a great product.
