As always, the Smith Summit Pants deliver. This is my third pair, and I ’ ve owned every generation so far. The new version definitely runs larger — in previous generations, size L felt consistent across models, but this time L fits more like an XL from the older ones. The redesigned knee pockets are now placed more toward the front of the thigh instead of the side. I ’ m still getting used to this change and not sure yet if I prefer it, but the functionality seems about the same. I ’ m happy they brought back the snap button on the rear pocket — much better than the zipper from V2. The single- layer knee pockets are still a small letdown compared to the older double- pocket design. The added soft, stretchy lining on the inside of the waistband is a nice touch — feels great and adds comfort for all- day wear. Overall, still one of the best pairs of pants I ’ ve ever owned. This is the first time I ’ ve owned Fjallraven hiking pants. I already own two of their jackets in multiple colors, so I wanted to try their pants out. I have a slightly curvy, petite body( 5 ’ 3 ”, 120 lbs, 26 ” waist) and ordered a size 4 with a 30 ” inseam. The VRST Men's Pinnacle Fleece Straight Leg Pants look and feel great — definitely a style you could wear every day. The problem is the sizing: they run really big and loose. I usually wear a medium, but these felt more like an XL — waist fits well, but the length is about 6 inches too long. If you like a roomy fit, they might work, but for true- to- size, I ’ d recommend sizing down.

They are comfortable and well constructed, with great features that I did n't even know I would be so happy with, such as the zipable back pockets and snaps to secure a rolled up cuff. [ Super stoked on these pants. Very durable and stretchy and not too heavy at all so I am looking forward to trying these out on my upcoming backpacking trip in the Sequoia/Kings Canyon region. I am a skinny dude at 5'10 and 155lbs, and a 30 fits a little loose, but perfect nonetheless. A few more sandwiches and it will be nice and cozy.

They fit great, look sharp, have a nice weight and material, and I like the roll- up snaps on the legs for cycling. I waver between a 32 and 33 inch waist on pants, but bought the 32 in these. They have some stretch in the waist, so it was a good call. I 'm a fan.
