Coming from a 10 year old TM Rosa blade putter, I was amazed at how the 34 '' Ping PLD felt. The weight and grip are in another class.

I needed a putter while mine was being restored and I have been putting lights out with it. Great purchase and now it ’s my only Putter.

From first glance this putter caught my eye. Being a lover of the Ping Anser design, I was in awe at the fact they ’ d introduce a blacked out version of it. However, if looks helped putts drop to the bottom of the cup this review would be over, but the putter is phenomenal! I feel like putting is a strong suit of my game, but since this addition to the bag I feel like my putting has reached a whole new level. Absolutely thrilled I pulled the trigger on this thing!

The PLD Anser is the best feeling milled putter on the market, hands down. The deep milled face rolls the ball true and provides a buttery soft milled feel.

Since purchasing the PLD Anser 2 blade putter I have been extremely impressed with my putting improvements. This is the first blade putter I ’ ve ever had in my bag. Over the last decade I ’ ve gained a handful of mallet putter ‘s and never really felt confident with the flat stick. What I like most about this club is how easy it is to line up my putt and consistently keep it on line. It ’s taken me a little time to figure out distance control for leg parts, but since the day I put it in the bag I have been making considerably more of the 6 to 10 foot variety than I did before. It ’s taken me a little time to figure out distance control for lag putts, but since the day I put it in the bag I have been making considerably more of the 6 to 10 foot variety than I did before. I think the clubhead is a beautiful piece of artwork. The fully milled face is not only gorgeous but the sound and feel is so true and consistent. I ’ m also a big fan of the minimalistic grip. For years I ’ ve been using oversize putter grips and this is the first pistol grip I ’ ve had and I love the way it feels in my fingers. I would highly recommend this putter to anybody that is considering upgrading to a high end blade putter. In my opinion it ’s better than any of the other blades in this price range.

Have been holding out for a fine milled putter from the company that innovated the often copied Anser head. I love the feel off the face that has great soft feedback that I often look for in a milled putter. Do not hesitate to pull the trigger on this model!

I found this putter to be very agile and precise, but I would only recommend it for a very good putter. The small grip won ’ t suit everybody. With a larger grip it would fit more people, but then it would not be as agile. And realized this is not one of the new zero torque even though it looks like it. It actually has to hang. It ’s not completely a center shaft despite its looks

This putter is the definition of `` simple but effective. '' What really stands out is how well this putter is balanced for a arc style stroke. It tracks beautifully on the path without feeling forced or `` fidgety. '' The shaft/head feel is equally impressive, it ’s incredibly stable and transmits great feedback. Also, love that classic design and milled face.

I was looking at all the available counter balanced putters, and this is the one I kept coming back to. In my unscientific side by side with the Taylormade, Tommy Armour, Scotty Cameron, etc. this is the one that I made the most putts with and felt most confident with. Performed excellent on the course, too- I was a noticeably better putter while using it, one or two putting almost all 18. Feels great, works great. If you try it and it works well for you, there is zero reason to buy anything more expensive unless you want to pay an extra couple hundred to have a different logo etched into your club.

I sold my Scotty Cameron the same day I bought this putter, in my opinion it ’s the best putter or at least for me. The counter balance is the ticket, I haven ’ t had a 3 putt in 4 rounds and I ’ m making longer putts then ever. Highly recommended

Hendrix923
Very consistent soft hitting putter. I ’ ve had it for a few weeks and I ’ ve made some long clutch putts I usually miss honestly. The head is on the smaller side so I think the aim small miss small is the key here. Inspires a lot of confidence 10ft and in. Like the color scheme/weighting a lot and alignment lines center and ball are great.

I bought this as an upgrade from a hand me down that the ghost of my grandfather led me to in a late night vision one night. Sort of like the Christmas Carole, but for golf. Anyways, the assistant took one look at me and knew that this putter was the choice for me. Not just because of my small wallet, or tall frame, but because of the aura points I was exuding. Historically I can ’ t sink a putt farther than four feet to save my life, but gripping this putter made me feel like I could hit it in from the tee box. The weight feels great on the swing and I find I ’ m consistently noticing the ball traveling the speeds and direction I want. Part of that is because I will it to obey my commands with the telekinesis, but that only developed as a result of buying this putter. All my golf friends foam at the mouth when I pull it out too, so if you want to show off for a reasonable price, buy this one I guess…9. 78/10

I found an 80's era Ping B60 on eBay recently. It has the original, slim, OEM Ping putter grip, amazingly still intact! Problem- with my `` meat hook '' hands, I could n't hold onto it, if you know what I mean... Golf Galaxy has the midsize PP58 Ping grips( plain and full cord), and they are amazing! Very comfortable, very durable, and you do n't get that feeling like the putter was meant for a 10yr old boy, LOL... The techs knew of the Ping B60, etc... and quickly and easily, swapped the grips for me while I waited. This new PP58 with full cord is fantastic! I can grip it easily, and it provides a lot more `` feel '' to the putting stroke, much like my prized Odyssey White Hot does. In a nutshell: If you have a Ping putter( or like me, collect older Ping putters...) the new PP58 grips are the best you can buy! You wo n't be disappointed, believe me!

I have an old Ping putter that I love using and the grip was worn so much that the shaft was coming through the top of the grip and cutting my glove when I leaned on the putter. I ordered this grip, had it installed, and was amazed how wonderful the grip felt! It's a little larger than the original grip I had, but I like that too! If you need a new grip, I definitely recommend this one!

This initial replacement is perfect, almost better than the original.
Milled putters are known for their precision and consistency, as they are crafted from a solid block of material, typically aluminum or stainless steel. This manufacturing process allows for tighter tolerances and better feel on the greens. Additionally, milled putters often provide enhanced feedback, helping golfers to improve their putting stroke and accuracy.
The primary difference between milled and cast putters lies in their manufacturing processes. Milled putters are machined from a single piece of material, resulting in a more precise and consistent product. In contrast, cast putters are created by pouring molten metal into a mold, which can lead to variations in weight and feel. Many golfers prefer milled putters for their superior craftsmanship and performance.
Milled putters are typically made from high-quality materials such as stainless steel, aluminum, or even softer metals like brass. Stainless steel is favored for its durability and resistance to rust, while aluminum can offer a lighter weight and different feel. The choice of material can significantly affect the putter's performance, including its weight distribution and overall balance.
Yes, milled putters can be suitable for golfers of all skill levels, but they are particularly favored by more experienced players who appreciate the precision and feedback they provide. Beginners may benefit from trying different putter styles to find what feels best for their stroke. Ultimately, the choice of a putter should be based on personal comfort and performance preferences.
When selecting a milled putter, consider factors such as the weight, balance, and grip style that best suit your putting stroke. It's also important to evaluate the putter's head shape and alignment aids, as these can influence your aim and confidence on the greens. Testing different models can help you find the right fit for your game.
