[ I work out roughly 4- 5x a week, but this is my first time trying out a medicine slam ball. I am so glad I did because I didn ’ t realize it would be possible to achieve a new level of soreness, but I really did using the slam ball. This thing is a beast! Since I ’ m new to the world of slam balls, the 8lb size seemed perfect to me to start out with. It ’s pretty substantial, around twice the size of a basketball and to me is a solidly constructed gym equipment. I love that the act of slamming this ball to the ground works out my entire body. One of my biggest problem areas is my core. I hate sit ups, they hurt my tail bone, even on a mat. So the slam ball to me is the perfect workaround as your abdominals do get an intense workout from using it. The slam ball was the perfect addition to my home gym equipment and I know the more I train with it, it ’s going to give me that explosiveness and muscle strength I am looking for. This is a must- have equipment to me. Aside from working out at home, I also have a small gym I go to in my neighborhood. I am definitely going to request that they get the ZIVA slam balls at the gym as well. I bought this ball at Dicks about a year ago. And i have yet to use it for my feet! Little did i know what this little wonder could do for my hands!!! I work with my hands always, and the stress and strain can be brutal. Gripping, pulling, pushing all day can take its toll. I 've actually gone to one of those mall,( asian) massage business's just to get hand massages. And they were great, but wondered why i would just go in just for my hands. Long story short, my wife and i walked in to a Dicks looking for a massage hook. Then she noticed and picked up this ball and asked if i 'd seen one like this. I took it, noticed how hard it was and then instinctively started sliding and massageing my hands on it like a baseball pitcher would on a base ball. To my utter and sheer amazement it was euphoric.
